The International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) is officially announcing the Global Studio Program (GSP) for 2026-2027!

The program offers a unique platform to integrate global landscape architecture academia through four international charettes in Hong Kong, Turkiye, Indonesia, and Germany. It is an excellent opportunity for Bachelor's and Master's students to engage in cross-cultural design, building a foundation for future leadership in the field.
Important: Due to the geographical setup of the GSP, the students and tutor have a chance to join in person one event at least without major financial burden. If financially and logistically feasible, the students and tutor are encouraged to participate in person in each charette. If that is not the case, remote participation by online videoconferencing is anyhow allowed in each and every charette. In this respect, a key duty of the tutor is to overview the work of the students and ensure their commitment to the charettes.

La Asociación Española de Paisajistas, representada por Rafael Barrera, ha asistido a una nueva sesión de educación ambiental organizada por Foro Valencia Sostenible, celebrada en el Observatori del Canvi Climàtic, un espacio de referencia para la divulgación, reflexión y sensibilización frente a los desafíos ambientales contemporáneos

La bienvenida a la jornada estuvo a cargo de Andreu Escrivà, quien expuso la función y objetivos del Observatori del Canvi Climàtic, destacando su papel como espacio de conexión entre ciudadanía, conocimiento científico y acción climática

Posteriormente, Alejandro Gómez realizó una introducción al Foro Valencia Sostenible, definiéndolo como un espacio de sinergias y colaboración orientado a consensuar visiones de ciudad, impulsar proyectos de desarrollo sostenible, promover mejoras normativas y reforzar las acciones de sensibilización y educación ambiental

Uno de los momentos centrales de la sesión fue la presentación del Centro de Educación Ambiental de la Comunidad Valenciana , ubicado junto al humedal de la Marjal dels Moros, un enclave de alto valor ecológico y paisajístico

La sesión reunió a representantes de entidades, instituciones y organizaciones comprometidas con la sostenibilidad y la educación ambiental

Desde el ámbito del paisajismo, este tipo de encuentros adquieren un valor especialmente relevante, ya que permiten conocer de primera mano el trabajo que desarrollan instituciones públicas, entidades privadas, organismos ambientales y agentes sociales vinculados al territorio

Desde la Asociación Española de Paisajistas continuamos apoyando y participando en encuentros que promueven una cultura ambiental más sólida, participativa y transformadora

🌿 From 2–6 September 2026, the Latvian Association of Landscape Architects (LAAA) will host the international conference “Landscape in Transition”, alongside the IFLA Europe General Assembly—together forming IFLA Europe Landscape Architecture Week in beautiful and vibrant Riga!

Land and Soil Management Award 2026

With only 4 days left, applications for the 2026 Land and Soil Management Award are closing soon. The award recognises outstanding initiatives that protect and enhance soil health across Europe, tackling challenges such as erosion, compaction, contamination, biodiversity decline and loss of organic matter.

The winner will be awarded at the Forum for the Future of Agriculture Annual Conferencein April, receiving a €5,000 prize and a diploma of recognition, and will have the opportunity to present their project to high-level stakeholders across the agri-food value chain.

Farmers, landowners and land managers may apply individually or in partnership with research institutes, universities or private companies. Applications close on Friday, 30 January 2026.
