“𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥-𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐲’𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬: 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐬” è il titolo della ricerca INDIRE nel volume internazionale "Responsive Teacher Education. From Managing Crises to Building Resilience" inserito nella Association for Teacher Education in Europe

The heart of ATEE is beating stronger than ever here in Białystok! ❤️

Our amazing RDC Chairs gathered today to showcase their passion and share all the exciting work happening across our Research and Development Communities. It was fantastic seeing so many conference participants dropping by to learn more about each RDC and discover how to join!

RDCs are truly at the core of what we do. They connect teacher educators, researchers, and experts from all over the world to work on joint research, organize workshops, publish policy recommendations, and contribute to the European Journal of Teacher Education.

It was a true privilege to host the UNESCO Special Session at the ATEE Annual Conference 2026 in Białystok! ATEE 2026 Annual Conference

We are deeply honored to partner with UNESCO and bring global policy dialogue directly into our community. A special thank you to Matthew A.M. Thomas, UNESCO Global Lead for Teacher Education and Professional Development, for guiding this session.

Rather than a traditional presentation, this was a highly interactive, participative, and discussion-based consultation. Through dynamic 90-minute jigsaw dialogues, teacher educators, researchers, and policymakers took the floor to actively co-create solutions for the future of our profession.

Key Highlights & Discussion Areas:
-Active Co-Creation: Participants worked together in small breakout groups to address pressing global issues, from teacher shortages to digital transformation.
-5 Core Pillars: Discussions tackled Policy, Pedagogy & Practice, Research, Professionalism, and Coordination.
-Actionable Strategies: Gathering priority insights from delegates to help build more equitable, resilient, and future-oriented education systems worldwide.

Thank you to Dr. Thomas and every participant who brought their voice, experience, and energy to this powerful exchange!

What an unforgettable start to in Białystok!

Day 1 is complete, and our global community is officially back together! From our dynamic workshops to the opening lecture, the day was packed with fresh ideas on "Crossing Borders with and in Teacher Education."

It’s especially meaningful to celebrate ATEE's 50th anniversary surrounded by so many passionate teacher educators. We capped off a fantastic first day reconnecting over dinner and catching up with long-time friends and new members alike.
