On 2 June, Palac gore attended the screening of Tour to Strasbourg at the European Parliament, hosted by MEP Irena Joveva.

The documentary by Radovan Seratlić and colleagues follows the extraordinary journey of Serbian students who cycled from Novi Sad to Strasbourg in April 2025, carrying a message that reached far beyond Serbia: democracy, accountability and the rule of law matter.

It was powerful to hear again from Radovan and from students who made the journey themselves, alongside MEPs, European Parliament Vice-Presidents Sophie Wilmès, Martin Hojsík and Nicolae Ștefănuță, and Gordan Bosanac.

For us, this was more than a film screening.

A year ago, some of us stood in Strasbourg, waiting to welcome the students after hundreds of kilometres on the road.

A month later, we stood in Brussels welcoming the student marathon runners.

Yesterday, we stood in the European Parliament, watching their story on screen, reminded once again that courage is contagious.

Their fight is not only for Serbia. It is about the kind of Europe we want to live in – one where democracy is defended, institutions serve citizens, and people still believe that change is worth fighting for.

Thank you to the students for reminding Europe what it is capable of being.

Dragi učenici Jovine gimnazije,

Vidimo vas. Čujemo vas. Uz vas smo.

Vaš bojkot nije samo izostanak sa nastave, to je jasan stav da ne pristajete na urušavanje škole koja treba da bude simbol znanja, integriteta i kvaliteta. Sve ono o čemu govorite: suspendovani profesori, uskraćen pristup komunikaciji, pritisci i haos u organizaciji nastave nisu sitnice već ozbiljni problemi koji direktno utiču na vaše obrazovanje i budućnost.

Vaša borba pokazuje zrelost, hrabrost i odgovornost. Pokazujete da vam je stalo do škole i do vrednosti koje ona treba da predstavlja. Tražiti normalne uslove za rad, profesore koji mogu da predaju i sistem koji funkcioniše nije bunt, to je minimum koji zaslužujete.

Ostanite složni, istrajni i dostojanstveni. Vaš glas ima težinu i već se čuje dalje nego što mislite. Mnogo ljudi stoji uz vas.

Niste sami.

Responsibility is clear.
Today at Slavija, everyone bears responsibility for keeping the protest peaceful.
If violence is carried out against students and citizens who are peacefully protesting, the responsibility will lie with those who hold power and control over the security apparatus.
It is important that the international public follows the situation in Belgrade.

U subotu, 9. maja smo organizovali javno okupljanje u Briselu u sklopu sinhronizovanih skupova koje su zajednice srpske dijaspore organizovale na tri kontinenata u znak podrške studentskim pokretima u Srbiji.

U Briselu je centralni skup održan u Evropskoj četvrti, gde su:

* Kathleen Van Brempt je potvrdila podršku Evropskog parlamenta:

„Imate našu podršku da napravite promenu u svojoj zemlji. Nećemo prihvatiti podršku zemlji koja nazaduje po pitanju međunarodnog prava i vladavine prava.“

* Gordan Bosanac, govoreći o značaju antifašističkog nasleđa na Dan pobede, izjavio je:

„Studenti su pokazali da neće biti generacija koja čeka da se istorija desi, već generacija koja stvara istoriju. Promene nikada nisu bile bliže.“

Zahvaljujemo se vima koji su se danas pridružili skupu u Briselu, kao i svima koji širom sveta pružili svoju podršku.

Palac Gore upućuje iskrenu zahvalnost Kathleen Van Brempt i Gordanu Bosancu na njihovoj podršci i učešću na ovom događaju.

On 9 May, Serbian diaspora communities across three continents held synchronized rallies supporting student movement in Serbia.

In Brussels, the central gathering took place in the European Quarter, where:

* Kathleen Van Brempt affirmed parliamentary support:

“You have our support to make the change in your country. We will not accept supporting a country that is backsliding on international law and rule of law.”

* Gordan Bosanac, who spoke about the importance of the anti-fascist legacy on Victory Day, stated:

“The students have shown that they will not be the generation waiting for history to happen, but the generation that creates history. Change has never been closer.”

We would also like to sincerely thank everyone who gathered with us today in Brussels and all those supporting the movement around the world.

| INTENZIVNI DANI ZA AKTIVISTE PALAC GORE 👍|

🔹 Učestvovali smo u diskusiji o akademskim slobodama sa rektorom Đokićem na Univerzitetu u Gentu.

🔹 Bili smo u Evropskom parlamentu, na događaju o mladima i proširenju EU.

🔹 Pratili smo program European Policy Centra o kritičnim sirovinama.

🔹 Identifikovali smo moguće pravce saradnje sa .rs

🔹 Doprineli smo i da na koncertu Nemanje Radulovića sala briselskog Bozara bude dupke puna – jer nema aktivizma bez umetnosti.

➡️ A za to vreme, pripreme za obeležavanje Dana pobede nad fašizmom i godišnjice od kada su studenti pozvali na prevremene parlamentarne izbore u Srbiji dobijaju na zamahu. 🔔

🔹 We took part in a discussion on academic freedom with Rector Đokić at Ghent University.

🔹 We were also at the European Parliament, at an event on youth and EU enlargement.

🔹We followed a European Policy Centre programme on critical raw materials.

🔹 We identified potential avenues for cooperation with .rs.

🔹 And we even helped fill the Bozar concert hall in Brussels for Nemanja Radulović – because there is no activism without art.

➡️ Meanwhile, preparations to mark Victory Day over fascism in Serbia and the anniversary of the students’ call for early parliamentary elections are gaining momentum. 🔔
