AEA-EAL Marks 40th Anniversary with International Conference in Warsaw

On 25–26 September 2026, the European Association of Lawyers (AEA-EAL), in cooperation with the National Council of Attorneys-at-Law (KIRP), held an international conference in Warsaw to mark the 40th anniversary of AEA-EAL and 30 years of KIRP membership in the Association.

Held under the theme “40 Years of Cooperation: Building Solidarity in the Legal Profession in Europe and Beyond,” the conference brought together representatives of European legal organisations, bar associations and institutions to celebrate four decades of professional cooperation and discuss key challenges facing the legal profession.

The European Association of Lawyers (AEA-EAL), in cooperation with the National Bar Council of Attorneys-at-Law (KIRP), is pleased to announce that an International Conference will be held on 25–26 September 2026 in Warsaw, Poland, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of AEA-EAL and the 30th anniversary of KIRP’s membership in the Association.

The Conference will take place at the Bankers’ Club, located in Powiśle, approximately 3 km from the centre of Warsaw.

On 15 June 2026, the New Technologies Committee of the European Association of Lawyers (AEA-EAL) organized an online webinar dedicated to the evolving European regulatory framework for artificial intelligence.

During the webinar, participants explored the most recent developments concerning the EU AI Act and the preliminary proposals included in the Digital Omnibus on AI. Particular attention was given to the envisaged amendments to the existing framework and their practical consequences for providers and deployers of AI systems operating within the European Union.

AEA-EAL Hosted Insightful Online Webinar on Legal Ethics and AI in Modern Practice

The AEA-EAL Deontology Committee successfully held its online webinar, “Lawyers, Deontology and AI: Can those Match Together?”, on 19 March 2026 via Zoom.

The session brought together distinguished legal professionals to explore the evolving relationship between legal ethics and artificial intelligence, addressing key questions of responsibility, liability, and ethical safeguards in modern legal practice. The discussion featured insightful contributions from leading experts and concluded with an engaging Q&A session.
