A different note from our other rooms, this month’s space in the spotlight is The Bar, our catering space, still decorated with its original furnishings. ✨

Our catering and reception areas are designed to facilitate networking between participants, be it during lunches, coffee breaks or drinks. In addition, the hall can be used as an exhibition area. 🚀

For your receptions and lunches, the MAI does not tie you to a caterer: you can choose your preferred caterer, although we do have a trusted partner you can call upon. Drinks, however, may only be provided by the MAI. 🍷

The Bar can accommodate 150 people standing or 60 seated for a more formal dinner reception. 🍽

You probably know it already, but we just do not tire of sharing about MAI’s biggest conference room: Brussels. 🇧🇪

Full of the atypical Modernist 50’s charm, the Brussels room can host up to 250 attendees, in a classroom layout (fixed tables, headsets and microphones). 🎯

Equipped with 4 simultaneous translation booths, this room is our proudest one-way ticket to a successful international, multilingual conference-type event. 🚀

Moving into the 21st century? This room has been upgraded to allow for screenings, hybrid conferences and live-streamings. 🤖

One of our two medium-sized rooms, Roma offers a flexible space for multiple types of gatherings. 🎯

Enjoy the space and comfort you need for your meetings or workshops. Equipped with streaming technology, the space is also perfectly adapted for satellite conferences, video-conferences, and viewings. 📺

Roma is dedicated to small meetings with a capacity of 10 to 40 people depending on the configuration. Its flexible layout (U-shaped, classroom, theater or any other configuration of your choice) is bathed in natural light and has a direct view onto the greenery of MAI. 🌱

The Maison des Associations Internationales (MAI) is the reference center for international associations in Brussels. 🇪🇺

Choosing an office at the Maison des Associations Internationales also means choosing a place that promotes exchanges between international associations located in the center of Brussels, close to the Avenue Louise. Many associations, including the Federation of International Associations established in Belgium (FAIB) and the Union of International Associations (UAI), are based at MAI. 🚀

Your association can’t afford or doesn’t need an office? We offer a domiciliation service for your organisation as well! 📬

Tenants have access to a dedicated meeting room reserved to them, and access to our event facilities at a preferential rate. 🎯

Our convention center, housed in a building with modernist architecture, was founded in the 1980s on the initiative of the Belgian government. Its creation is based on a historical ideal: solidarity between peoples guarantees peace between countries. This vision remains valid to this day. 🎯

The idea of ​​a conference and office center for international associations dates back to the beginning of the 20th century: in 1907, Belgium envisioned the construction of such a convention center. Finally, the Maison des Associations Internationales was created as a public utility foundation by royal decree on December 8, 1982. The official inauguration took place on October 25, 1983. Brussels, seat of the European institutions and NATO now has a 'a place of reference for international associations. 🌱

Over the years, our building, located in the center of the international Belgian capital, has welcomed many ambassadors, diplomats, personalities from international associations such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Oxfam, the European Commission or the European Parliament. 🇪🇺

In 2019 and 2020, the various meeting rooms were redesigned to accommodate state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment: simultaneous translation booths, streaming and video-conference equipment. 🎙

Today, hundreds of seminars, colloquiums and conferences bring together thousands of participants every year within the Maison des Associations Internationales (M.A.I.). 🚀

Today’s room in the spotlight is our jewel of multilingual meetings: the Berlin room. 🎙

Its name was chosen in reference to one of the most cosmopolitan and multilingual capitals of the European Union. With capacity for up to 75 participants, the room has 3 simultaneous translation booths for a unique international experience. 🌍

Does your audience want to attend from the comfort of their own home or from their office? The Berlin room is equipped with a state-of-the-art live-streaming and videoconference system, enabling you to grow your impact far beyond the walls of MAI. 🚀
