What an honour to participate at this year’s International Summit ‘Women, Power, Peace and Securtity’ in Brussels.

The 3rd edition of the international summit on these topics gathered prominent voices, ministers, diplomats and field experts and civil society voices to address the 25 years after the UN resolution 1325, which recognised that armed conflict disproportionately affects women and girls, and that their role in peacebuilding was systematically ignored.

With over 50 nationalities present, the summit organised by Aicha Bacha and her organisation European Center for Development and Geostrategic Studies , echoed that peace is our women’s both personal and collective work and legacy - we cannot and must not outsource it to politicians and men’s clubs. Resolutions are important for setting the direction, but if the field shows little progress, it’s time to course-correct.

Some of the highlights for the way forward:

👉 Focus on - girls and women as leaders
👉 Adapting the implementation of women and peace policy agenda to contexts

For our representative, the summit was a valuable platform to bring in the perspectives of women leadership and youth involvement in social change in the Western Balkans.

The summit was held in thr Belgian Senate and the European Parliament, and was an excellent day to occupy these seats by global women leaders.

General Assembly for the Connect International network this year in our city of Brussels 🎉😍❤️🙌🇧🇪💯

Full of inspiration from the project updates, good practices and impact results in the youth work field across Europe!

We are thrilled to be part of the network whose mission is the bring humanity to digital life and help youth and youth workers acquire tools and resources in the digital sphere.

Hand in hand with and , the strategy for the coming years will be increasingly addressing burning issues in the digital citizenship and transformation challenges such capacity building in data privacy, online safety, and ethical use of AI.

Our research shows that only 36.8% of respondents confirm to have invested efforts in planning their communication strategies. These results clearly indicate there is a significant lack in strategic planning with regard to external communication. 😲

Even if you have the best project in the world, you can't just go out there and shout about it, send random messages to everyone, and post whatever comes to mind on social media. 📢💭 It’s essential to have a plan and strategy to follow – what is your offer, what is the key message, who is your target audience, how to communicate with them, how often, through which channels, with what goal etc. Act smart and make a plan on this! Resources are limited and it’s important to be efficient and act strategically to make the campaign successful. 🚀. By boosting the organization’s visibility, you attract more stakeholders and engage them into long-lasting networks. Focusing on clear communication strategies allows youth organizations to maximize their impact and drive more significant change. ✨
