UKC Urban Campfire – Session 2 🔥

On next Monday, 7th, the next round of the Urban Campfire is on! The informal digital fireside setting at gather.town is meant for us urban enthusiasts to know each other and other particular perspectives! S2 will be a lead-free session, with open spaces for cozy group conversations on 4 pre-selected (but broad enough!) topics. Theme suggestions are still welcome, so post yours in the comments!

Everyone is welcome to join. We are a growing network and are happy about every single face and every level of participation. There's no prior knowledge needed, and we aim the Urban Campfire to be a great opportunity to connect beyond interests and physical borders.

KC Urban Campfire – Session 1 🔥

Urban Campfire is a new discussion format for sharing urban knowledge in an informal digital fireside setting, favoring conversation and exchange over performance and presentation. We aim to create an intimate, cozy, and give-and-take atmosphere. Let´s chat, reflect and dive into urban worlds of wonder in a safe space, where inspiration and exchanging experience can flow free.

Session 1 will be about The Tokenisation of the City
The Metaverse is the current breaking buzzword on the internet. Behind the veil of consumer marketing these new information and social networks have two potentials: be our savior or our enslavement! This session will place cryptocurrencies, the decentralized ledger, NFT’s, DeFi and The Metaverse into an Urban sociocultural context, show their relevance and pose future-focused questions. Our fist host will be Benjamin Gellie and we welcome everyone to join exploring (un)familiar topics together.
