The recent attack at the Berlin Pride does not happen in a vacuum but a sad reminder of how the political landscape can shift right before our eyes.

We grieve. We show up. We refuse two things: silence, and instrumentalisation. This attack does not license collective blame against Muslim, migrant, or refugee communities, and it does not license the far right's sudden, selective concern for LGBTIQA+ lives, from political forces that spend the rest of the year dismantling our rights.

Violence against marginalised groups happens as a direct consequence of political rhetoric and institutional immobilism.

Our democracy is more challenged than ever.

Too short? Fined. Too long? Fined. when does it end? 🛑

Back in the 1930s, police officers patrolled beaches with measuring tapes to make sure women's swimsuits weren't too short. Fast forward to today, and women are being fined for covering up too much. A century has passed, yet the obsession with policing women’s bodies remains the same. 🏄‍♀️

From the bikini to the burkini, history is just repeating itself, and the illusion of choice remains. At .eu we believe that true democracy and equality can only begin when we stop controlling women's bodies. It’s never been about the fabric—it’s about the right to choose.

Our Summer Gathering wrapped up in the garden, over a drink and easy conversation, where mentees and mentors reconnected beyond their roles and the programme.

It’s in these informal moments that the most genuine connections are often made, the ones that keep going long after the event ends.
