🇪🇺 Old enough to vote. Too young to run?

At 18, you can vote in the European elections. But in Italy and Greece, you have to wait until 25 to stand as a candidate for the European Parliament.

We think young people deserve more than a voice at the ballot box. They deserve a real chance to shape European democracy.

That’s why .eu launched — and we’re looking for 16 young people aged 18–24 from Italy and Greece to become our first YouthPowerEU Ambassadors. 🇪🇺

As an Ambassador, you’ll:
📣 train in advocacy, campaigning and civic participation
🏛️ engage with MEPs and European decision-makers
🤝 work alongside young changemakers from Italy and Greece
🇪🇺 travel to Brussels for our Civic Lobbying Days
📝 help turn young people’s voices into concrete policy proposals

And because representation must actually be representative, at least 40% of places are reserved for young people with fewer opportunities.

It’s an opportunity to advocate for a simple principle: If you’re old enough to vote, you should be old enough to run.
