This week, Belgium and Ukraine signed an agreement officially marking the launch of the country's recovery programme.

An online meeting between the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium Alexander De Croo took place.

The Belgian government announced €185 million in aid, of which €150 million will be allocated to a reconstruction programme that Enabel will implement over the next four years. Thanks to this agreement, we are now in a position to operate in Ukraine.

The programme will initially focus on rebuilding critical infrastructure and building shelters in schools. An initial tranche of 20 million will be used to restore the energy infrastructure in Kyiv and its surrounding areas, especially hospitals.

The lower house of the U.S. Congress adopted H.R.8035 "Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024", which provides for more than $60 billion in support for Ukraine.

In 2023, each month we managed to deliver a full van mostly filled with medical supplies, including medical equipment such as anesthesia devices and others, wheelchairs, hospital uniforms, disinfectants but also Laptops, clothes and more. Thanks to Mr. Luc Vancraen who has made great efforts for this and who delivered this gratefully received aid to Ukraine during his monthly visits to his company in Kyiv, and Ms. Tamara Tochytska and Olena Marushevska for professional coordination of the aid in Ukraine.

We are thankful to everyone who made this possible. Without your help we wouldn't be able to support those who are in need in Ukraine,

Also a big thanks to NGO De Leeuw Kyiv for their help with the transport of other humanitarian supplies, such as stoves, generators, rehabilitation devices etc.

Continued EU financial support for Ukraine will strengthen long-term economic and financial stability, which is no less important than military assistance and sanctions pressure on Russia.
