What’s Up, Out of The Box is back again, with a new, fresh and innovating concept! This year the battles will exist out of two elements: dance (all styles) & beatbox. It will be a 1 vs 1 battle with beatboxers providing beats in stead of DJ’s. There will be a preselection for dancers lead by a DJ & a preselection for beatboxers. 8 dancers and 8 beatboxers will get selected. An impartial observer p
icks names out of the dancers’ poule and beatboxers’ poule. We have 3 judges for the dance category and 1 judge for the beatbox category .The judges can ONLY judge their own category. So a dancers’ judge can not judge a beatboxer and the other way around. If the beatbox judge thinks that beatboxer #1 wins the battle, but the dance judge thinks that dancer #2 wins the battle then it means that Beatboxer #2 & Dancer #1 are out. So the winners (Beatboxer #1 & Dancer #2) will be teamed up and become a new duo. )
We’ll provide you with nice jams, tasty food and good music between the battles so the day will be filled with good vibes! After the battle, everyone that didn’t get the chance to dance, gets the liberty to show their skillz at the after-Jam. Y’all know that Out Of The Box is a concept battle that tries to set boundries every year, so that’s why we’re trying to develop a new way of battling.
