When Moses was put on the street with his aunt to provide for the family by begging for money, he was met with misfortunes that were characteristic to the unsafe nature of the region. Just a child, and extremely hungry, he would often get terribly beaten up by local gang members and others of the sort. He received poor accommodations and often got denied food. On top of this, he often got into traffic accidents, getting hit by motor bikes, bicycles and cars.
His childhood was marked by violence, neglect, hunger and a constant exposure to danger.
He was picked up by the local police and dropped off at the - more than ten times overcrowded - Masulita Rehabilitation Centre, and was later one of the 300 children that got taken in by our people (read more about Rescue 300 Campaign by visiting our link: https://koinoniakids.org/how-can-you.../rescue-300-campaign/). He resettled with us at Koinonia Ministries in Lokodiokodioi. His dream is to go to school and study hard; even dreaming of becoming The District Resident Commissioner.
