Today was the third and final day of the Fifth European Sakya Monlam, in the lush green surroundings of the Bois de Vincennes, Paris, falling on the holy day of the First Turning of the Wheel (Chökhur Düchen). In the afternoon, HH 43rd Sakya Gongma Trizin Rinpoche bestowed a long life initiation on the many fortunate disciples present. In his closing comments, he remarked that the presence of the Buddha’s relics in the Grande Pagode makes it an excellent place for followers of the Buddha dharma to make prayers. We are very grateful to His Holiness for his boundless energy in transmitting the dharma, and the numerous dharma followers who worked hard to make the event a great success.
