Liberians from across Europe gathered in Antwerp, Belgium, for three memorable days to celebrate the 179th anniversary of Liberia’s Independence.

We were honoured to welcome Hon. Francis Sakila Nyumalin, Sr., Minister of Local Government, as our special guest and keynote speaker. He highlighted the Ministry’s achievements, the important contribution of Liberians in the diaspora to Liberia’s economy and prosperity, and President Joseph N. Boakai’s commitment to supporting Liberians abroad.

His message was clear: Liberia’s progress requires unity, collective responsibility and a strong, lasting partnership between the Government and the Liberian diaspora. Together, Liberians at home and abroad can build a stronger and more prosperous nation
