Today, 19 July, the Rohingya Environmental Protection Network REPN organized a Tree Planting Campaign in the Cox's Bazar Rohingya Refugee Camps.
As heavy rains continue, we are witnessing the increasing threat of landslides. The soil has become unstable, placing thousands of refugee families at risk. In these challenging conditions, every tree we plant is an investment in a safer and greener future.
Trees play a vital role in holding the soil together, reducing the risk of landslides, absorbing carbon emissions, improving air quality, and protecting our fragile ecosystem.
This campaign was more than planting trees it was about bringing our community together, strengthening environmental awareness, and reminding us that protecting our planet is a shared responsibility.
Every tree we plant represents hope, resilience, and a brighter future for the Rohingya community. Even small actions can create meaningful change when we work together.
Through this initiative, REPN continues to empower our community to become environmental stewards and climate leaders, inspiring people to protect the land we depend on.
