Ibrahim Khan Government College Rover Scout Group is one of the oldest and most prestigious Rover Scout Group in Bangladesh. It has been playing an important role in the development and expansion of the scout movement in the country. It has also been playing a major role in various disciplinary and voluntary activities of the college. Although the group was founded in the early 1989s, its full ope
ration began after the first investment ceremony was held in 2000. In 1989, Sir Muslim Chowdhury, one of the most lively rover leaders of Ibrahim Khan College, started the rover operation. Ibrahim Khan Government College Rover Scout Group has been participating in various community service and community development activities on the college campus and other places for the last 30 years. The group undertook a community development project at Gabsara Char in Bhuapur in the 2008s, which was visited by several officials of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) from its headquarters in Geneva with top leaders of the Bangladesh Scouts. Currently, the group has two girl-in-rover units and two rover units. These four units currently have more than a hundred trained Rover Scouts.
