We few friends, students of different institute in Sylhet town met in a meeting to form an youth club. From the following month we started meeting on every 2nd and 4th friday in Mohanagar restaurant, Zindabazar under the name of SYLHET YOUTH CLUB. First day we used to attend an OPEN DISCUSSION SESSION to improve our english communicative skill, second day we sat to write a GENERAL KNOWLEGE questio
nnaire. In 2009 we adopt Rotaract By Laws (Constitution) and later in April we got certification from ROTARY headquarters as an youth club (Rotaract Club of Sylhet Central). But for few reasons now they are working as an independent group. They are organized but not in a organizational structure, mess with different aged group. Now renamed as CENTRAL YOUTH CLUB. They are continuing two projects we used to do but irregular basis. They can do even more only if get a permanent venue we are trying to provide them. Our goal is to take it into a structure. We are working to build a framework of a THREE LAYERS CLUB. Our aim is to make it a self sufficient youth development centre and facilitate the youth group. Planning to extend the scope of work. Beside their academic studies, we want to keep the group of youths busy in career focused assignment, workshop, seminar and few co-curricular activities. Counselling for young people according their need will be one of our main work. They will be our target group and our all plan will designed this group oriented.
