𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐟𝐟!

The first two days of our 𝟖-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 are already wrapped up and the energy in the room has been incredible!

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 and seeing a packed room full of so many curious walk-ins couldn’t have been a better way to start! Our participants got familiar with the core concepts of 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 and the foundation for everything ahead. The questions and discussions throughout the session made the opening day feel alive right from the start.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, helping us understand what goes on beneath the models we’ll be working with throughout the workshop.

He will be working as a 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 at the 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐚𝐛. His research will focus on 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬, 𝐂𝐍𝐂 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐈/𝐌𝐋 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠.

For many of us at RoboSUST, this one feels personal. We have seen him guide others and keep pushing himself forward. Seeing his journey continue into research abroad makes us genuinely happy and proud.

You wake up and check your phone before your eyes fully open, old habit. The notification isn't a meeting reminder. It's a message from HR, the kind with careful, padded language. Role restructuring. Skills alignment. Effective immediately.

You go to work anyway because notice periods still exist even now. The office is quieter than it used to be. Half the desks near yours are empty, not vacant, just unused. The forecasting model runs the demand projections before anyone arrives. The audit flags itself. The quality checks that used to take your whole morning now take four seconds and nobody in the room did them. AI has taken care of everything.

Almost all of us have thought at some point, “I should really learn Machine Learning.”

So we start with a few YouTube videos, write some code and tell ourselves that this time we will continue. But soon the concepts get scattered. We learn algorithms without knowing where to apply them, watch projects without building one ourselves and eventually lose the flow.

This is not an "attend the sessions and collect a certificate" kind of workshop. There will be practical tasks throughout the program and participants who complete them will receive a certificate.

Getting the certificate is not the main goal here. The tasks are meant to give that extra push to stay consistent, keep practicing and provide the direction that is often missing when learning alone, so the journey does not stop halfway again.
