গতকাল ২৮শে নভেম্বর আমরা সিলেটের কালাগুল চা বাগানে গিয়েছিলাম। সেখানে আমরা পরিবেশের জন্য ক্ষতিকারক গাছ (আকাশি ও ইউক্যালিপটাস) সম্পর্কে স্কুলের শিক্ষক ও ছাত্রদের সাথে আলোচনা করি, তারপর তাদের এসকল ক্ষতিকারক গাছের পরিবর্তে পরিবেশের জন্য উপকারী গাছ লাগানোর জন্য উৎসাহ প্রদানের লক্ষ্যে বাগানের স্টেকহোল্ডার, শিক্ষক ও ছাত্রদের সঙ্গে সেখানে অবস্থিত প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে কিছু ফলজ ও ভেষজ গাছের চারা রোপণ করি। এরপর মাল্টিমিডিয়া প্রজেক্টরের মাধ্যমে আমাদের নাটক “পিপড়তলীর আখ্যান” প্রদর্শন করি।
এবং দ্বিতীয় ধাপে আমরা ম্যানেজারের বাংলোয় গিয়ে তাদের(ম্যানেজার, সিলেট ভ্যালি সভাপতি, বাংলাদেশ চা শ্রমিক ইউনিয়নের সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক, স্থানীয় প্রতিনিধি) সাথে কালাগুল ও বোরজান চা বাগানের জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের প্রভাব নিয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করি এবং এই বিষয়গুলো নিয়ে কাজ করার জন্য আহ্বান জানাই।
Yesterday, on the 28th of November, we visited the Kalagul Tea Garden in Sylhet. There, we discussed harmful trees (Acacia tree and Eucalyptus) with the school’s teachers and students. Then, to encourage them to replace these harmful trees with environmentally beneficial ones, we planted several fruit and medicinal saplings at the tea garden’s primary school along with the stakeholders. After that, we showcased our drama “Pipartolir Aakhyan” using a multimedia projector.
In the second phase, we held a detailed discussion with the stakeholders at the manager’s bungalow about the impacts of climate change on "Kalagul and Borjan tea gardens" and we urged them to take action on these issues.
আয়োজনে Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka এর CAP-RES Project এবং International Centre for Climate Change & Development (ICCCAD) Youth Innovation Fund এর সহায়তায় DIK Theatre, SUST কর্তৃক বাস্তবায়িত “A Drama and Documentation on the Climate Change Effect on Tea Community People” প্রকল্পের অংশ।
