The 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡, in collaboration with the EEE Society SUST, successfully organized the technical seminar "𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐞: 𝐀𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧" on 29 July 2026 at Room 1029, 9th Floor, IICT Building, SUST.

We were honoured to welcome 𝐈𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐟𝐢𝐳 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧, Lecturer, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, SUST, as the speaker for this session of 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Through his engaging presentation, he introduced the fundamentals and real-world applications of Computer Vision, providing participants with valuable insights into how machines learn to interpret and analyse visual information.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Irfan Nafiz Shahan for accepting our invitation and delivering such an inspiring and informative session. We also express our heartfelt thanks to our respected faculty members, student participants, distinguished guests, and the dedicated organising team for their invaluable support in making this event a success.

During the programme, the 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 was officially dissolved, and certificates of appreciation were presented to the outgoing Executive Committee members. The Honourable 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 the IEEE SUST Student Branch Executive Committee 2026–2027, marking the official handover of responsibilities to the newly appointed committee.

IEEE SUST Student Branch had the pleasure of interacting with the freshers of the 16th Batch of EEE during their orientation program.

The session was organized beautifully, and it was a pleasure to introduce them to IEEE and the opportunities it offers to students. We discussed how IEEE can support their academic and professional growth through technical learning, networking, leadership development, research opportunities, competitions, and global engagement.
