Ethnic Community Development Organization (ECDO) is a nonprofit voluntary development organization working for the development of different indigenous communities in Sylhet region. MOIRANG is one of the initiatives taken by this (ECDO) organization with the aim of economic empowerment for Manipuri women through promoting their traditional handloom. Once upon a time the product from Manipuri handlo

om was very popular to all. But since last more then two decades this sector is passing its very worse time. Because due to high demand and popularity of Manipuri handloom products in the market, at present some fake Manipuri products are marketing by some dishonest businessman in the name of Manipuri hand loom products. Thus the real customers of Manipuri hand loom products are cheated by a group of these businessmen. On the other hand the customers are also become dissatisfied with those products. As a result most of the buyers and consumers of Manipuri hand loom products become misunderstood about the quality of Manipuri hand loom products. And finally this traditional sector become under threat. Considering this reality ECDO takes the initiative for preservation and promoting this invaluable traditional heritage of Manipuri peoples with support from Oxfam Bangladesh. All the products which are available in our MOIRANG outlet are very exclusive. ECDO believes through promoting this sectors it is possible to ensure economic empowerment of Manipuri women’s in the society.

মোইরাং এর প্রিয় শুভাকাঙ্খীদের আনন্দের সাথে জানাচ্ছি, আগামী সপ্তাহেই মোইরাং তার অল্প কিছু এক্সক্লুসিভ প্রডাক্ট নিয়ে হাজির হবে। আপনারা সবাই জানেন মোইরাং মনিপুরী সুতি শাড়িকে ইতোমধ্যে একটি ভিন্ন মাত্রায় নিয়ে যেতে সক্ষম হয়েছে। কারণ মোইরাং এর প্রতিটি শাড়ির ডিজাইন, কালার কম্বিনেশন এবং কোয়ালিটি অন্য যেকোন শাড়ি থেকে ভিন্ন। তাই মোইরাং এর নতুন গ্রাহক যাঁরা এখনো মোইরাং মনিপুরী সুতি শাড়ি হাতে নিয়ে দেখেননি তারা এই সুযোগটা নিতে পারেন। আর আমাদের পুরনো প্রিয় গ্রাহক ও শুভাকাঙ্খীরাতো আছেই। এই করোনা দুর্যোগে সবাই ঘরে বাইরে মাস্ক পরুন এবং সুস্থ ও নিরাপদে থাকুন। আগামী সপ্তাহে নতুন প্রডাক্ট নিয়ে আবার হাজির হবো।

ঢাকার গুলশানের গার্ডেনিয়া গ্র্যান্ডহলে অনুষ্ঠিত হেরিটেজ হ্যান্ডলুম ফেস্টিভ্যাল ২০১৯ এ মোইরাং এর অংশ্রগহণের কিছু স্থিরচিত্র। ফেস্টিভ্যালটি শেষ হবে ২৫ অক্টোবর ২০১৯। এ সুযোগে ঢাকা থেকে যারা মোইরাং এর খাটি সুতি মণিপুরী শাড়ি কিনতে চান তারা একটু সময় করে এ ফেস্টিভ্যালে গিয়ে আমাদের মোইরাং স্টলটি ঘুরে আসতে পারেন।
