সিলেট কৃষি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাৎসবিজ্ঞান অনুষদ এর শৈবাল ( SHOIBAL) ও বিজনেস ক্লাব এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে এবার আয়োজিত হতে যাচ্ছে "2 Days Long GIS Training"।

GIS (Geographical Information System) যাকে বাংলা ভাষায় ভৌগোলিক তথ্য ব্যবস্থাপনা পদ্ধতি বুঝায়।এই পদ্ধতিতে সব ধরনের ভৌগোলিক তথ্য আরোহন, জমা, বিশ্লেষন, ব্যখ্যা, ব্যবস্থাপন এবং ছবির মাধ্যমে উপস্থাপন করা যায় খুব সহজে।একে বলা যায় মানচিত্র তৈ্রি করা, পরিসংখানগত বিশ্লেষন এবং ডাটাবেজ সংরক্ষন ও বিশ্লেষন এর স্বমন্বিত পদ্ধতি।

বর্তমানে কৃষি বিষয়ক যেকোন গবেষণায় GIS শেখার গুরুত্ব অনেক। এটি ভূমি ব্যবহার, মাটির গঠন, আবহাওয়া এবং ফসলের অবস্থা বিশ্লেষণে সহায়ক। GIS-এর মাধ্যমে কৃষিজমির বিভিন্ন তথ্য মানচিত্রের মাধ্যমে বিশ্লেষণ করে নির্দিষ্ট এলাকায় কী ধরনের ফসলের চাষ উপযোগী তা জানা যায়। এটি মাটির উর্বরতা, পানি সরবরাহ, আবহাওয়ার পূর্বাভাস এবং রোগ প্রতিরোধ ব্যবস্থা সম্পর্কেও তথ্য সরবরাহ করে, যা কৃষকদের সঠিক সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণে সহায়তা করে।

তাই যাদের গবেষণার প্রতি ইন্টারেস্ট আছে, তাদের কথা চিন্তা করেই আমরা GIS এর উপর একটা অফলাইন ট্রেনিং সেশনের আয়োজন করেছি, যার মাধ্যমে আপনি হাতে কলমে শেখার সুযোগ পাবেন। তাই দেরি না করে আজই রেজিষ্ট্রেশন করে আপনার সিটটি কনফার্ম করুন। (৩০টি সিট)
