Business club aims at building up IBA-JU students according to the needs of the current competitive corporate world. Objectives:
-To broaden students’ understanding of business and its complexities through various activities & events
-To aid students in career planning
-To allow opportunity for students to expand upon knowledge gained in the classroom
-To provide opportunities for students to vis

it and learn from companies and executives in the business community
-To encourage students to practice and develop their own leadership and management skills by assisting with club activities and events
-Improve their communication & presentation skills to make them better fit for their career ahead

Activities:
-Organizing Institutional events i.e. workshops, seminars, industrial tours etc.
-Arranging various types of business competitions i.e. to evaluate our students and make them prepared for the national competitions and also arranging national level competition (i.e. BrainStorm) to form our own entity among the leading business schools
-Arranging corporate week once a year to orient students to the organizational culture
-Regular discussion session to improve communication & presentation skills
-Publishing all types of institutional publications i.e. Newsletter, Annual Report, Souvenir, Resume Book etc.

The grand finale of SQ Group Presents Breaking Brand 2026, Powered by Walton & Pubali Bank PLC | IBA-JU Business Club, held at Le Méridien Dhaka, added real weight to the world of brand innovation. Beyond the BDT 2.5 lakh prize pool awarded to the winners, Breaking Brand 2026 really gave young strategists a rare platform to step out of textbook theory and into the fast-paced world of actual marketing!

The grand finale of “SQ Group Presents Breaking Brand 2026, Powered by Walton & Pubali Bank PLC” was successfully held on the evening of June 26 at Le Méridien Dhaka. Organised by the Institute of Business Administration, Jahangirnagar University, the event featured six finalist teams presenting innovative marketing strategies, creative ideas, and analytical solutions for a prize pool of BDT 250,000.

This year, the competition attracted more than 1,500 students across 415 teams from universities nationwide. Thirty-one teams advanced to the second round before the top six secured places in the finale. Prominent corporate leaders, industry experts, university officials, and distinguished guests attended the event, while an esteemed panel of professionals evaluated the finalists. The competition was conducted under the supervision of IBA-JU Director Professor Dr. Ireen Akhter and IBA-JU Business Club Moderator Assistant Professor S.M.A. Moudud Ahmed.
