We have successfully concluded the program, graced by the presence of a distinguished delegation from Proshika traveling from Dhaka.

The honorable guests included Proshika's Program Director, Mr. Md. A.K.M Hasan Sayed; Deputy Director, Ms. Sumona Rani Das; Rangpur Zonal Manager, Ms. Shahana Mustari; and Accountant, Mr. Arman.

The event took place in the river erosion-prone area of Paikerchhara Union under Bhurungamari Upazila in Kurigram.

During the program, the guests engaged in a fruitful dialogue with the members and volunteers of DFBY Foundation expressing a strong interest in future collaborations.

They discussed various ongoing programs and projects of Proshika, outlining specific areas where both organizations could work together effectively.

Following the event, the delegation visited the local char (riverine island) areas and the official premises of DFBY Foundation. Furthermore, they inspected our ongoing initiatives, including the "Noksha O Jibon" projects, among others.

After the project inspections, the guests met with Dr. Abu Sazzad Mohammad Sayem, Honorable Advisor to DFBY Foundation and Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer of Bhurungamari.

The meeting primarily focused on Proshika's health initiatives, during which Dr. Sayem comprehensively briefed the guests on the extensive activities and community impact of DFBY Foundation.

Proshika is a highly reputed non-governmental organization (NGO) with a nationwide presence, currently recognized among the top 10 NGOs in Bangladesh.

The primary objective of this engagement was to explore the implementation of Proshika’s projects in Kurigram District, with a special focus on Bhurungamari Upazila.

By bringing these projects here, we aim to create youth employment, eradicate joblessness, empower women, and drive sustainable development in the district's marginalized sectors.

We are highly optimistic that this vision will be realized through the sincere cooperation and collective efforts of all stakeholders.

As we survey 2026, a silent crisis is here. Digitalization in Southeast Asia has connected millions but also accelerated anxiety, depression, and burnout—especially among youth.

Globally, nearly 1 billion people live with a mental disorder. In Bangladesh, 18% of adults face mental health issues, yet we have fewer than 1 psychiatrist per 200,000 citizens. Traditional therapy is out of reach for most.

We can't train thousands of doctors overnight. The solution? Task-shifting through digital peer support.

Implementation for Bangladesh:

1. Build digital platform + secure shortcode
2. Train volunteers in culturally adapted active listening
3. Integrate AI to triage high-risk messages in real-time
4. Ensure total anonymity to break stigma

Funding comes from international NGOs, global health foundations, and corporate CSR.

Digital peer support doesn't replace doctors—it extends their reach. In a truly Smart Bangladesh, no one suffers in silence.

Today marks the 6th anniversary of Donate for Bhurungamari Youth Foundation (DFBY Foundation).

Six years ago, in one of the world’s most uncertain times, DFBY Foundation was born. Days and nights were spent crossing every corner of Bhurungamari in Kurigram district — from cycling to remote chars for hygiene training when no vehicles ran, to answering calls from volunteers at 2 or 3 in the morning. Nearly 700 fearless volunteers stood ready at every moment.

We remember the smiles, the struggles, the sleepless nights. We remember the spirit of working together without any desire for personal gain — just pure love and brotherhood.

To every supporter, advisor, health official, administration, and police team who stood by us — thank you. To every volunteer who risked their own safety during COVID, and currently working continuously for the betterment of the community — you are our strength.

Today, we see new challenges: rising addiction, mobile gambling, health and climate change issues and limited opportunities for our youth. We dream of a better, brighter Kurigram. If individuals or organizations come forward with adequate funding, we are ready — once again — to unite and bring real change.

Please keep us in your prayers. Wishing everyone peace and progress on this special day.

Corporate philanthropy in South & SE Asia has changed. CSR is no longer about writing a cheque, it's a compliance-driven, strategic engine for sustainable development.

To secure major corporate grants in 2026, nonprofits need a proven strategy:

1. Internal alignment → Map your projects to the UN SDGs. Corporations need that global reporting language.

2. Radical transparency → Present audited data, digital tracking, and measurable social returns. Boards demand financial discipline.

3. Strategic networking → Don't spam. Target companies whose business model naturally fits your mission. Rural digital literacy? Pitch a telco.

4. Co-create value → Invite corporate employees to volunteer their skills (strategy, marketing). That builds emotional connection and turns a grant into a multi-year alliance.

This shifts the dynamic: from passive charity recipient to indispensable partner. You help them hit CSR targets. They help you drive real change.

What if the biggest barrier to changing the world is just a piece of paper?

So many incredible local leaders are feeding families, teaching skills, and restoring nature—but without official nonprofit status, international funding stays out of reach.

Enter fiscal sponsorship 🌱

A registered charity in the US, UK, or EU becomes a legal umbrella, accepting grants on their behalf. Local impact meets global infrastructure. No years of red tape. Just partnership.

When grassroots passion joins forces with established credibility, donors take notice—and real change scales.

Collaboration over isolation. That’s how we build a smarter, kinder world.

The funds to power our future exist, but how do local organizations actually bring them home?

While global climate funds are massive, local NGOs in developing nations often struggle to access them.

Top organizations like WRI and SELCO have shown us that renewable energy isn't just an environmental goal—it's a tool for poverty eradication.

For local organizations in Bangladesh to secure this vital international funding, here is the strategic roadmap:

1. Prove Impact: Build an undeniably transparent track record through small, successful community projects. Donors look for proven ex*****on.

2. Align Goals: Connect your specific project goals to major frameworks like the SDGs and national climate commitments.

3. Partner Up: Direct access to mega-funds is complex. Form alliances with national accredited entities (like IDCOL or PKSF) to navigate strict international compliance.

4. Engage Globally: Join networks like the Climate Action Network, share your on-the-ground impact stories digitally, and build trust at international summits.

When we build these global bridges, we do more than light up rural homes. We accelerate our journey toward a resilient, smart, and sustainable nation.

Eid Mubarak to everyone! 🌙

As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, we want to wish you and your loved ones a very happy, peaceful, and blessed Eid ul Fitr.

Eid is a day to celebrate, share smiles, and be thankful for the blessings in our lives. At the DFBY Foundation, we believe the true spirit of Eid is about coming together.

It is about sharing our happiness with the community, supporting those who are going through difficult times, and working together to build a brighter future for our youth.

Every small act of kindness—whether it is sharing a meal or helping a neighbor—brings us closer as a society.

Let us take this spirit of unity and compassion forward throughout the entire year.

Enjoy this beautiful day with your family and friends. Eat good food, create wonderful memories, and stay safe.
Wishing you a joyous Eid 2026!

Warm regards,
DFBY Foundation Team

In 2026, Dhaka, Delhi, and Mumbai routinely record "Hazardous" AQI levels above 300. This is a public health emergency.

The solution? Look at Europe.

The European Blueprint:

London's Ultra-Low Emission Zones fine polluting vehicles entering the city. Paris redesigned streets to prioritize bikes over cars. Cities deploy thousands of smart sensors tracking pollution block-by-block.

But governments rarely act alone.

Nonprofits are the real engines of change. ClientEarth takes governments to court over illegal pollution. The Clean Air Fund finances local data collection. Grassroots groups like "Mums for Lungs" lobby for "School Streets" to protect children.

The South Asian Opportunity:

India's NCAP targets 40% reduction by 2026. But targets aren't enough.

We need strong environmental laws citizens can enforce. Funding for local nonprofits to gather undeniable data. Political courage to restrict polluting vehicles from dense urban centers.

Clean air is a fundamental human right. When we empower nonprofits and update legal frameworks, the skies can finally clear.

As we reach the final countdown to 2030, the global community often celebrates a major achievement: 87% of children worldwide are now enrolled in primary school.

On paper, we are closer to "Universal Education" than ever before.

But as we reflect this Sunday, the data tells a deeper, more challenging story.

Enrollment is a measure of quantity, but it is not a measure of learning. According to the latest UNESCO 2026 Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report, a "Foundational Learning Crisis" is hidden beneath these high numbers.

In several developing regions, despite being in school, only 10.8% of children achieve minimum proficiency in reading and math by the end of primary school.

This gap forces us to ask: Is a seat in a classroom enough if the child isn't learning?

The reflection for 2026 is that we must move from "Access" to "Impact." The barriers are no longer just the lack of buildings, but:

1. Teacher Support: 78% of educators report severe burnout. We cannot expect quality learning without supported teachers.

2. The Digital Divide: While AI is revolutionizing schools in developed hubs, millions in rural areas still lack basic electricity.

3. Language Barriers: Millions of children are still taught in a language they don't speak at home, making foundational literacy nearly impossible.

True development doesn't happen when we count heads; it happens when we nourish minds.

As we graduate into a "Smart" world, we must ensure that no child is left with a certificate that they cannot read.

13/03/2026

When bombs fall or an epidemic breaks out, most people flee.

But there is one group of professionals who run directly toward the danger: Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières, or MSF).

How it Started:

The journey began in 1971. A small group of French doctors and journalists were deeply frustrated after witnessing the devastating Biafran famine in Nigeria.

They believed that life-saving medical care should never be stopped by political borders. They united to create an independent organization that could deliver emergency medicine quickly and impartially.

How They Work:

Today, MSF is a massive global movement with over 68,000 staff working in more than 70 countries.

Their core rule is absolute neutrality. Whether treating civilians in an active conflict zone or setting up isolation camps during a disease outbreak, they treat the wounded strictly based on medical need.

They never ask which "side" a patient is on.

Their Annual Reach:

The scale of their contribution is staggering. According to their recently published 2024/2025 impact data, MSF teams perform over 16.4 million medical consultations annually.

Every single year, they admit over 1.6 million patients into their clinics and carry out more than 1.3 million emergency vaccinations, saving countless communities from preventable outbreaks.

The Financial Engine & Independence:

How do they afford such massive global operations without being controlled by governments?

The secret is their fundraising system. An incredible 98% of their funding comes entirely from private donors—everyday individuals and independent foundations.

Because they do not rely on state money, no government can dictate where they go or who they treat.

Furthermore, they operate with immense efficiency, ensuring that over 85% of their total resources go directly into their medical programs rather than administrative costs.

MSF is more than a medical charity. They are a powerful reminder that even in the darkest corners of human conflict, the fundamental right to heal remains unbreakable.
