A Step Towards a Better Understanding of the World!

The organization named Rajshahi University International Affairs & Business Society that is called in short the RUIABS is a voluntary organization that is established in 2019. The founder and founding members studying in the University of Rajshahi has started the organization with no funding or influence of the other organization and has formed the organization for the core purpose of the benefit of the students of University of Rajshahi. The founder, founding members, advisors, alumni members, executive committee, executive members, associate members and general members, who will be at any considered way be involved with the organization must conduct and abide by each and every article of the RUIABS CHARTER.

The organization started it’s journey on 11th December’ 2019 with the blessings of Student Advisor of University of Rajshahi, Dr. Laila Arjuman Banu. The advisor of the organization is the Chairman of Department of International Relations of University of Rajshahi, Dr. Sayed M Abdullah Al-Mamun Chowdhury.

The organization is founded by Sharar Mahbub Dhrubo with 32 other members. Rajshahi University International Affairs and Business Society (RUIABS) is a voluntary organization that mostly engages in working some specific areas of focus or mandate. Those are organizing, skill development, public speaking, networking, business understanding, creativity and innovation, diplomacy, general knowledge, leadership, debate, presentation, communication development and cultural understanding. The organization is going to benefit the students for being able to analyze and attain the vast knowledge on past, present and future of International Relations, Politics, Diplomacy, Foreign Policy, Global Security, World Economy, New World Order, Alliances, International Organizations, International NGOs, Regional Conflicts, Global Conflicts/World wars, WMD, Secret Societies, Nuclear non-proliferation, Independence movements, Terrorism, Global Environmental Issues, Cultural Practices, Entrepreneurship, Business, Communication and Networking, and many more. It will also provide and prepare students and members of this organization skill of participating in other universities and representing University of Rajshahi at a bigger stage. The organization focuses into individually organizing or by collaborating with other organization to launch events that involve debate on recent international issues, business idea generation competition, business case solving, International Affairs Fest with multi-activities, promoting international culture and other notable things, Model United Nations and any other events that focuses on international affairs or promotes business.

Goals and Missions

Promote knowledge on international affairs, world history, and current world order;

Establish a network between different national and international organizations;

Develop public speaking, communication and presentation skills;

Improve the understanding of business and culture both at national and international level;

Encouraging the sense of entrepreneurship among the members and the students of Bangladesh;

Developing the leadership skills and implementation of decisions;

Promoting and practice of events related to international affairs or business affairs that goes with the area of focus;

Celebrating international and national days with full respect and engage in activities if possible;

Grow the feeling of patriotism towards the country and work for the environment;

Developing the sense of humanity and making someone a good human being.

Activities of the Organization

Conduct formal and informal meetings ;

Weekly workshops and seminars related to the area of focus or mandate of the organization ;

Practice and training sessions before regional, national and international event those focuses on debate, business idea generation, writing and presentation, knowledge about international affairs and diplomatic sessions like Model United Nations;

General Planning Meetings to conduct the organization and launching of the future events that follows the charter of the organization

Sessions on public speaking, building networks, idea generation and cultural understanding;

Arranging seminars on international affairs and business entrepreneurship with relevant expertise with considerable experience;

Collaborating with other clubs of university-level for promoting events that focus on international affairs and business idea;

Events on inter-university or intra-university level will be launched on a timeframe of 3 months or less, that goes within the subject related to international affairs and business affairs according to the mandate of RUIABS Charter;

Engage in social, humanitarian and environmental activities voluntarily for a sustainable development and making the world a better place.

We are here to enrich and enlighten every member and the students of University of Rajshahi with the knowledge on International and Business issues. So we hope to prosper along with every other students and personnel involved with our institution and our country so that we can have a better understanding of the future of the world we live in.
