🌱 On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, DASCOH Foundation distributed 600 tree saplings among 20 farmers and 15 institutions in Niamatpur, Naogaon to help reduce carbon emissions and promote environmental sustainability in the drought-prone Barind region.

The program also provided waste bins and handwashing facilities to schools, colleges, community clinics, and health complexes to strengthen health, hygiene, and environmental awareness.

Implemented with support from The Coca-Cola Foundation under the SaWaB Project, the initiative aims to improve climate-resilient access to safe drinking water and sustainable development for vulnerable communities in the Barind Tract.

Miking and poster distribution activities were conducted to raise awareness about the availability of adolescent health services in the A-EMPOWER project areas. They also learned how to access the Model UH&FWC at the union level to receive SRH services as well as mental health counselling services. The adolescents were very happy and enthusiastic about the initiative.

💧Ensuring access to safe water for vulnerable communities in Barind stressed💧

Integrated efforts from government and non-government stakeholders are key to ensuring safe water access in the Barind Tract.

The “SaWaB” project, supported by The Coca-Cola Foundation and implemented by DASCOH Foundation, was officially launched in Rajshahi to improve climate-resilient, sustainable water access for vulnerable communities.

The initiative will benefit around 1.55 lakh people through innovative water systems, community engagement, and inclusive approaches. Experts emphasized that safe water is a fundamental human right and collective action is essential to tackle growing water challenges. 💧

🌿 বরেন্দ্র অঞ্চলে নিরাপদ পানির টেকসই সমাধানে নতুন উদ্যোগ 💧

ডাসকো ফাউন্ডেশন “বরেন্দ্র অঞ্চলে দুর্বল সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য নিরাপদ পানির টেকসই প্রবেশাধিকার বৃদ্ধি” শীর্ষক একটি প্রকল্প আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে চালু করেছে, যা কোকা-কোলা ফাউন্ডেশনের সহায়তায় বাস্তবায়িত হচ্ছে।

খরাপ্রবণ বরেন্দ্র অঞ্চলের পানি সংকট মোকাবিলায় এই ৩ বছর মেয়াদি প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে প্রায় ১ লাখ ৫৫ হাজার ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ মানুষ উপকৃত হবে। নওগাঁর নিয়ামতপুর ও গোমস্তাপুর উপজেলায় বাস্তবায়িত এই উদ্যোগে থাকবে পাইপলাইনের মাধ্যমে পানি সরবরাহ, সৌরচালিত পাম্প, বৃষ্টির পানি সংরক্ষণ, পুকুর পুনঃখনন, স্যানিটেশন ও স্বাস্থ্যবিধি উন্নয়ন।
