The only thing scary in Wales at the moment is tomorrow's budget. After Welsh Government letting us down on business rate relief independent businesses are terrified about what the future holds. If UK and Welsh Government don't act to support small businesses then it's game over for many. 🎃

And if promoting Halloween the day before a budget is considered a priority for Welsh Government then it is a very sad state of affairs.

Prestatyn's High Street appears “closed” and “empty” today as the town’s entrepreneurs protest against business rates in Wales.

Welsh Government also need to consider the mental health of Welsh business owners. The strain of running a business here in Wales is huge. Rising costs, lower footfall, government policies and of course the big one is the fact that we were not given the business rate relief we should have been as Welsh Government withheld the funds from Westminster.

Reducing waiting times, including for mental health support and treatment, is a key priority for us.
