𝐀 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

Using drawing materials provided through the Pediatric Palliative Care Project as social support, the child created these artworks by hand and presented them to our Palliative Care Assistants and the project team as a token of love and appreciation.

Such meaningful gestures inspire us to continue providing compassionate care and support to those we serve. We are grateful for this thoughtful gift and the special bond it represents.

The 60-day field activities programme of the Honours students from the Department of Social Work, Narayanganj Govt. Women’s College, has been initiated at the Compassionate Narayanganj Palliative Care Project.
An introductory lecture on Palliative Care was delivered, followed by a presentation on the activities and services of Compassionate Narayanganj. Opportunities for student engagement and potential contributions to the project were also discussed.

নারায়ণগঞ্জ সরকারি মহিলা কলেজের সমাজকর্ম বিভাগের অনার্স (৪র্থ বর্ষ) শিক্ষার্থীদের ৬০ দিনের মাঠপর্যায়ের কার্যক্রম মমতাময় নারায়ণগঞ্জ প্যালিয়েটিভ কেয়ার প্রকল্পে শুরু হয়েছে।
এ উপলক্ষে প্যালিয়েটিভ কেয়ার বিষয়ে একটি পরিচিতিমূলক সেশন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। পরবর্তীতে মমতাময় নারায়ণগঞ্জের কার্যক্রম ও সেবাসমূহ সম্পর্কে একটি উপস্থাপনা করা হয়। এছাড়াও, শিক্ষার্থীদের সম্পৃক্ততার সুযোগ এবং প্রকল্পে তাদের সম্ভাব্য অবদান রাখার বিভিন্ন দিক নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়।

Today, on 21st September 2026, marked the 2nd and final day of the Training on Palliative Care for Health Professionals at Pro-Active Medical College & Hospital Ltd. (PMCHL), Narayanganj, organized by the Compassionate Narayanganj Project.

The day featured engaging and interactive learning sessions that encouraged active participation and knowledge sharing among healthcare professionals.

Following the training, a post-test evaluation was conducted to assess participants’ learning outcomes. In recognition of their outstanding performance, the top five participants were awarded special gifts by the CEO of Pro-Active Medical College & Hospital Ltd.

Certificates were then distributed to all participants, acknowledging their successful completion of the training. The program concluded with a group photograph.

On 16 September 2026, Compassionate Narayanganj organized a Community Awareness Session on Ageing Population and Palliative Care at the Ward No. 26 Councilor’s Office, Narayanganj City Corporation, with the leadership of the Ward Secretary and support from AYAT Education.

The session brought together local community leaders, social workers, and community members to discuss palliative care, healthy ageing, and compassionate support for older people.

As part of our vision to develop Narayanganj as a sustainable model for community-based palliative care and healthy ageing, we believe strong community leadership can help build an age-friendly and palliative care-friendly Narayanganj.

Today, 17th September 2026, the first session of the Training on Palliative Care for Health Professionals was successfully held at Pro-Active Medical College & Hospital Ltd, Narayanganj.

The training brought together healthcare professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills in providing compassionate and patient-centered palliative care. Through interactive discussions and learning sessions, participants explored key principles and practices essential for improving the quality of life of patients with serious illnesses.
