Some people see a dog as “just a pet.” But for those of us who share our lives with them, they’re family. They love without conditions, trust without hesitation, and make our house feel like home. That’s why the way someone treats my dog tells me a lot about the kind of person they are.

You don’t have to be a dog lover, but basic kindness and respect should never be optional. If a guest is rude, dismissive, or intentionally unkind towards my dog, it doesn’t just affect my pet. It changes the way I see that person too.

Caramelo has returned home. The dog had been shot on the evening of July 20th in Ribeirão Preto, in the state of São Paulo, while his owner was being robbed.

The woman was walking with him when two men on a motorcycle announced the robbery. She had already handed over her belongings. One of them fired when the dog tried to protect her.

The bullet entered his mouth and exited on the right side of his chest. Veterinarians operated on him to stop the bleeding on his tongue and performed a tracheotomy to allow him to breathe during treatment. A blood transfusion was also required because he had become anemic.

He spent days in intensive care, monitored for the risk of infection, pneumonia, and necrosis. He was hospitalized for eleven days in total, in two different clinics.

He then began walking the clinic's corridors again and breathing on his own. According to the owner's account to Record TV, the veterinarians described it as "a true miracle." He is not expected to suffer any permanent consequences.

On Thursday, July 30, Caramelo was discharged wearing a blue superhero cape with the words "Super Brave" written on it.

A fundraiser organized by Thaís Artioli, the owner's sister-in-law, raised more than 41,000 reais to cover veterinary expenses.

⚽🐾 While millions admired him for his goals, an animal shelter discovered another side of Cristiano Ronaldo.

A few years ago, an animal shelter in Gouveia, Portugal, was going through one of the most difficult periods in its history. With nearly 80 dogs under its care and increasingly scarce resources, keeping its doors open had become a huge challenge.

Upon learning of the situation, Cristiano Ronaldo decided to help in a very special way. He donated an autographed Real Madrid jersey to be auctioned off to raise funds for the shelter. That jersey became much more than a sports memento: it represented an opportunity to continue feeding, caring for, and protecting dozens of animals.

The shelter's staff explained that, although a single donation couldn't solve all their problems, the gesture had a huge impact. It not only helped financially but also raised awareness of the cause and motivated many other people to join in with donations and support.

Stories like this prove that true greatness isn't always measured by trophies or records. Sometimes, an act of solidarity can change the fate of those who have no voice and remind us that compassion also leaves an indelible mark. ❤️🐶

Guys, I melted Churchill how do I fix it?

Last night was the best night he’s had since I rescued him. He was super peaceful and not hyper vigilant to my every move thinking I was leaving him if I stood up or moved my office chair. He was able to sleep the whole 12 hours I was working outside of the crate which is so amazing he would kind of pace and get too amped up and I would have to crate him again to keep him calm during this heart worm treatment. But last night he made himself a little bed and melted into it 😂

A couple had decided to adopt a dog from a shelter. 🐶 Everything was ready to take her home, but when they opened the door, something unexpected happened. 🚪✨ The dog froze, whimpered, and refused to move. 🐾 She seemed to be clinging to the spot as if something was holding her back. 💔 Then they looked closer and discovered, in a corner of the cage, a small chihuahua trembling and hiding. 🐕 With a deep gaze, the two animals looked at each other as if they shared a silent promise: never to be apart. 🤝❤️ They had been through difficult times together and had become a true family. 🏠✨ Understanding this, the couple didn't hesitate. 💡 They also adopted the little dog, and minutes later, the four of them left the shelter together to begin a new life. 🛣️🎉

Everyone aboard, even large dogs. ITA Airways is ahead of the curve and launching its "Large Dog On Board" service, allowing dogs up to 30 kg (66 lb) to travel in the cabin without a carrier on select domestic "Large Dog" flights. The service, available for purchase today and operational from August 3rd, can be booked through the ITA Airways Customer Information Assistance Office (CIAO) at least four days in advance of the flight date.

The launch of the service follows the first scheduled demonstration flight last September from Milan Linate to Rome Fiumicino, during which two large dogs traveled in the cabin without carriers.
With the introduction of this service on its flights, ITA Airways is marking another historic moment for Italian commercial aviation, following the authorization received from ENAC, the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, based on the new regulations on the transport of dogs in the cabin adopted by the Authority.

In this first phase, the Large Dog On Board service will initially be available on selected domestic flights operated by ITA Airways, respecting the maximum number of Large Dogs permitted to be transported based on the authorization granted by ENAC.
