We were pleased to participate in the Feminist Co-Creation Café organized by the United Nations (UN), UN Women and the Department of Women and Gender Studies, University of Dhaka.

The Feminist Co-Creation Café is part of the Women Manifesto Initiative, which seeks to integrate a strong, intersectional gender equity agenda into the platforms and practices of major political parties in Bangladesh ahead of the upcoming national election. The initiative also aims to strengthen the meaningful participation of women in politics and promote the adoption of gender-responsive policies.

We are grateful to contribute to this important effort toward advancing inclusive and equitable political processes in Bangladesh.

As the 16 Days of Activism begin, we raise our voices for all those whose safety was stolen, whose dignity was silenced, and whose stories were pushed into the shadows.
Gender-based violence is not only a personal tragedy. It is a system that has been allowed to grow for generations.

Change begins the moment we refuse to look away.
When we question harmful norms.
When we speak the truth, even if it shakes the ground.
When we stand beside survivors and remind them, "You are seen. You are heard. You matter."

Together, we can build a world where safety is a promise for everyone and not a privilege for a few.
A world where every woman, girl, and gender-diverse person can live boldly, freely, and without fear.

Let this be the beginning.
Let this be the loudest 16 days.
Let this be the spark for transformation.

Defend Indigenous Lands at

Indigenous Peoples are the guardians of forests, rivers, and biodiversity. Our lands hold life, culture, and ancestral knowledge. Climate change, deforestation, and land grabbing threaten our communities and the planet.

Our Land Demands:

Full legal recognition and protection of Indigenous lands.

Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) for any project affecting Indigenous territories.

Immediate action to prevent land grabbing, deforestation, and extractive projects on Indigenous lands.

Support and funding for Indigenous-led land stewardship and conservation initiatives.

Protecting Indigenous lands means protecting life, culture, and the future of the planet.

is knocking at the door.

The world stands at a crucial moment, and the decisions made here will shape the future of our planet. Indigenous Peoples are not just affected, we are the solution. Our lands, knowledge, and actions provide real answers to the climate crisis.

It’s time to amplify Indigenous voices, protect our forests, lands, territories, and resources, and work together for climate justice. 🌎

International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples 2025
Theme “Indigenous Peoples and AI: Defending Rights, Shaping Futures”

AI is changing our world, bringing opportunities and risks. For Indigenous Peoples, inclusion is essential. We must be co-creators, decision-makers, and regulators.

AI must respect our rights to self-determination, lands, resources, languages, and free, prior, and informed consent. Without this, technology risks repeating colonial harm.

This year, we had the honor of participating in the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) 2025, where our advocacy focused on the Land, Territory, and Resource (LTR) rights of plain land Indigenous communities. We engaged meaningfully with global leaders, government officials, and civil society representatives to raise awareness about the urgent need to protect the ancestral lands and natural resources of these communities. As part of our engagement, we also submitted a policy brief that highlighted the challenges faced by plain land Indigenous peoples in Bangladesh and called for inclusive governance, legal recognition, and sustainable resource management grounded in Indigenous knowledge and leadership. Our presence helped ensure that the voices of plain land Indigenous communities were reflected in international development and policy dialogues.
