গত ৩০ মার্চ এক মর্মান্তিক সড়ক দুর্ঘটনায় খুলনা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আইন ডিসিপ্লিনের ২১ ব্যাচের শিক্ষার্থী মৌমিতা হালদার অকাল মৃত্যুবরণ করেছেন। তাঁর এই আকস্মিক ও হৃদয়বিদারক প্রয়াণে 'নৈয়ায়িক' পরিবার গভীরভাবে শোকাহত।

আমরা তাঁর বিদেহী আত্মার চিরশান্তি কামনা করছি এবং তাঁর শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারের প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা জ্ঞাপন করছি।

একইসাথে, মৌমিতার নিহত হওয়ার পরবর্তী সময়ে প্রশাসন কর্তৃক কার্যকরী ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণে চরম অবহেলা পরিলক্ষিত হয় এবং চলমান শিক্ষার্থীদের আন্দোলনের যৌক্তিক দাবির মুখে প্রশাসন যথাযথ জবাবদিহিতা করতে সম্পূর্ণভাবে ব্যর্থ হয়। যা প্রশাসনের আইনগত দায়বদ্ধতার পরিপন্থী এবং নিন্দনীয়।

এমতাবস্থায়, "নৈয়ায়িক পরিবার" উক্ত ঘটনায় প্রশাসনের ভূমিকার জন্য তীব্র নিন্দা জানাচ্ছে এবং শিক্ষার্থীদের চলমান আন্দোলনের দাবিগুলোর সাথে সংহতি জানিয়ে উক্ত ঘটনার সুষ্ঠু তদন্তের মাধ্যমে দায়ীদের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ এবং মৌমিতার প্রতি সুবিচার নিশ্চিত করার জোর দাবি জানাচ্ছে।
