World Refugee Day 2026

Today, we stand together to honor the strength, resilience, and dignity of refugees around the world, especially the Rohingya community living in displacement.

Our online discussion, "Empowering Rohingya Youth for Rights, Climate Action, and a Sustainable Future," brought together community leaders, youth activists, and advocates to share perspectives on refugee rights, Rohingya identity, climate action, and youth engagement.

Guest Speakers:

• Ro Habib Arkani – Rohingya Identity, Rights, and Future Prospects

• Arafat Hossain Akash – Climate Action, Environmental Protection, and Youth Engagement in Refugee Communities

We are deeply saddened by the devastating impact of the ongoing monsoon rains across Bangladesh.
With a 30 reported fatalities, widespread flooding, and landslides affecting communities which includes vulnerable Rohingya refugee camps, our thoughts are with every family facing this crisis.

We urge everyone in at-risk areas to prioritize their safety by following official warnings, relocating to designated shelters when advised, and avoiding hillsides and floodwaters. Together, through preparedness, community support, and timely action, we can reduce risks and protect lives during this challenging time. Stay safe, stay informed, and look out for one another.
