লাখো শহিদের আত্মত্যাগ, বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের অসীম সাহস আর দীর্ঘ ৯ মাসের রক্তক্ষয়ী সংগ্রামের ফল এই বিজয়। বিজয়ের এই দিনে গভীর শ্রদ্ধাভরে স্মরণ করছি সেই সকল বীর সন্তানদের, যাদের ত্যাগের বিনিময়ে আমরা পেয়েছি স্বাধীন, সার্বভৌম বাংলাদেশ।

"কালের যাত্রা"

সমুদ্রতীরে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা এক বৃদ্ধ বাবা—শান্তি আর অভিজ্ঞতার প্রতিচ্ছবি, তাঁর চোখে জীবনের সমস্ত হিসাব। ঢেউয়ের মতো দীর্ঘ পথ পেরিয়ে তিনি এখন স্থিরতার কিনারায়। ঠিক তখনই, তাঁর পাশ দিয়ে ঘোড়ার পিঠে তীব্র গতিতে ছুটে যায় এক তরুণ; তারুণ্যের উদ্দামতা ও ভবিষ্যতের হাতছানি তার রন্ধ্রে রন্ধ্রে। এই দৃশ্যটি জীবনের এক চিরন্তন সত্যকে তুলে ধরে: বাবা দেখছেন জীবনের 'শেষ' কূল, যেখানে সব পথ মিশে যায়; আর তরুণ ছুটছে জীবনের 'শুরু' কূল ধরে, যেখানে সবকিছু জেতার অঙ্গীকার। সমুদ্রের অবিরাম ঢেউয়ের মতো জীবনও এই দুই প্রান্তের মধ্যে দিয়ে বয়ে চলে; কেবল প্রজন্ম থেকে প্রজন্মান্তরে পাল্টে যায় তার বাহক।
