২০১৬ সালের কথা

একটা কোর্সে সম্পূর্ণ অন্যায়ভাবে আমাকে রিটেক দেওয়া হয়েছিল, যেখানে বাকি প্রায় সবাই ৪.০০ পেয়েছিল। সেদিন ১৫ ব্যাচের প্রতিটা ছেলে-মেয়ে নিজেদের চোখে পুরো ঘটনাটা দেখেছে। আমারই ল্যাব স্যাম্পল নিয়ে আমার আরেক ব্যাচমেট যখন টেস্ট করলো, তারও একদম সেম রেজাল্ট এলো। কিন্তু সেদিন আমাদের কারও এতটুকু সাহস ছিল না যে শিক্ষকের সামনে দাঁড়িয়ে বলি— "স্যার, স্যাম্পলের নাম্বারিংয়ে তো আপনারও ভুল হতে পারে!" ওইদিন আমি মনে হয় দুই-একবার ওনাকে বলেওছিলাম যে— 'স্যার, আপনি এখনই ল্যাবে আমার আরেকবার টেস্ট নিয়ে দেখেন।' উনি রাজি হন নাই, রিটেক তো রিটেকই।

আজ ২০২৬ সাল, ১০ বছর পর -

গতকাল ওনারই একটা রিসার্চ পেপার আমার হাতে এসেছে রিভিউ করার জন্য। Methodology দেখতে দেখতে পুরোনো দিনগুলোর কথাই মনে পড়ে যাচ্ছিল। তবে আপনি নিশ্চিন্ত থাকতে পারেন, কারণ আমি মোটেও আপনার মতো একগুঁয়ে বা জেদি নই, আর নিজেকে সব ভুলের ঊর্ধ্বে বলেও মনে করি না।
