Trinamul Unnayan Sangstha(TUS) organised the Women Resource Network (WRN) Conference–2026 on 10 May 2026 jointly with GRAUS and Ashika Development Associates under the slogan “Connect, Inspire, Transform” in Cox’s Bazar through the “Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF)” initiative.
The conference served as a significant platform for reflection, learning, and collective action, bringing together members of the Women Resource Network from different areas to strengthen solidarity, collaboration, and shared commitment toward women’s empowerment and social justice. The event aimed to review and reflect on the journey, achievements, and contributions of the WRN network over the years while creating space for participants to share their experiences, challenges, successes, and lessons learned from previous interventions at the grassroots level.
Through interactive discussions and participatory sessions, the conference focused on identifying practical and strategic action plans by incorporating past learning and field experiences to ensure more effective future initiatives. Special emphasis was also placed on discussing the current situation of violence against women in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, exploring the existing challenges faced by women and girls, and determining necessary collective actions, advocacy strategies, and community-based responses to address these issues.
The conference successfully created an inspiring environment where WRN members could connect with one another, exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and build a shared vision for future collaboration. It reaffirmed the network’s dedication to promoting women’s rights, civic engagement, leadership, and inclusive community transformation across the region.
