Since 1989, Shamannaye Unnayon Shongstha (SUS) has been working with its own money, its own manpower, social workers and volunteers in accordance with the guidelines given by the Directorate of Social Services (DSS) of the Government of Bangladesh for the socio-economic development, education, health and cultural awareness of the backward groups of the society. In the beginning, Shamannaye Unnayon
Shongstha (SUS) provided micro-loans and support through various programs for the poor, illiterate, health services, rural marginalized people and lower and lower middle classes like laborer, fishermen, marginal farmers such as fisheries program, poultry program, livestock development, social forestry, plantation program, rickshaw-van program, photostat program, etc. In 2016, the Shamannaye Unnayon Shongstha (SUS) made several changes to the program to meet the needs of the community. From 2016, they completely suspended all types of lending programs. Through the Shamannaye Unnayon Shongstha (SUS) monitoring committee, it was found that most of the people from the lower and lower middle class are spending their personal work through the money received from the loan. As a result, the organization has completely suspended all lending programs. Also, in 2016, the Shamannaye Unnayon Shongstha (SUS) realized through various surveys and case studies that the boys and girls of schools and colleges across the country have become heavily addicted to drugs. Robbery, murder and r**e have increased in the society. There is a decline in moral qualities among students. By this, our society is deteriorating, information state environment and every person is suffering from insecurity. Hence, in the year 2016 Shamannaye Unnayon Shongstha (SUS) launched a new awareness based permanent project "MANAB (Madokke Na Boli)" program with the conviction of gifting a beautiful liveable society to the future generations. And so far, the organization has continued the "MANAB (Madokke Na Boli)" project on a larger scale.
