ASC empowers Accounting students with sports, leadership, and teamwork.

The official hub for all sporting activities of the Department of Accounting, University of Chittagong. Since its beginning in 2024, the Accounting Sports Club – CU has held a unique identity: the first and only platform that drives the passion for sports, unites athletes, and oversees every sporting event of the Department of Accounting, University of Chittagong. Accounting Sports Club's mission is to provide opportunities for sports engagement, develop student talents, and promote teamwork and health, while its vision is to be a recognized sports leader that fosters a positive sporting culture and contributes to the holistic development of students. The mission focuses on the club's current activities, such as organizing events and building community, while the vision is a forward-looking statement of aspiration, such as becoming a leading sports hub within the university.

Matchday 1 kicked off with two exciting encounters, delivering goals, intensity, and an incredible display of football from all four departments. 🔥

⚽ Match 1

Accounting Department 2️⃣-2️⃣ Marketing Department
A thrilling contest ended with the points shared. Accounting scored through Anik, while Jamiul's own goal added the second. Marketing fought back with goals from Ayan, alongside an own goal by Adi, as both teams settled for an entertaining draw. 👏

Finance Department 3️⃣-2️⃣ Banking Department
Finance secured a hard-fought victory in a five-goal thriller. Rezwan scored a brilliant brace, while Meraz added the third goal for Finance. Mortaza netted both goals for Banking, keeping the contest alive until the final whistle. 💥

The trophy has found its home. 🏆

With remarkable teamwork, resilience, and an unwavering fighting spirit, Accounting Session 25–26 (Batch 38) emerged as the Champions of the Faculty of Business Administration Inter-Department Futsal Tournament, "Shaheed Hridoy Chandra Tarua Futsal Tournament 2026," held at Shahjalal Hall Field, making the entire Accounting family proud.

The grand finale was graced by Professor Dr. Mohammad Saleh Jahur, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, as the Chief Guest. The event was further honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Zahurul Alam, Chairman, Department of Management; Professor Dr. Mohammad Khaled Afzal, Provost, Shahjalal Hall; and Professor Dr. Mohammad Abu Tayab, CMO, CU Medical Center, as Special Guests.
The tournament's Chief Patron was Ayobur Rahman Tawfick, AGS, CUCSU.
Co-Ordinator was Mahmodur Rahman Tamim, Secretary of Social Welfare, Environment & Human Rights Shahjalal Hall Students' Union, CUCSU

Every journey begins with a conversation.

Today, Accounting Sports Club successfully concluded its First General Meeting—not just as a formal gathering, but as a moment to reflect, reconnect, and prepare for everything that lies ahead.

Ideas were shared. Experiences were exchanged. Plans took shape. Together, we discussed our vision, strengthened our commitment, and reaffirmed the values that continue to define our club—teamwork, discipline, respect, and unity.

We were especially honored by the presence of Mohammad Shafiur Rahman Chowdhury, Associate Professor, Department of Accounting, University of Chittagong, whose thoughtful guidance and valuable insights led the discussions throughout the meeting. We remain sincerely grateful for his unwavering mentorship.

🇪🇸 Spain 1-0 Argentina (After Extra Time)

What a final. Spain were simply outstanding. They controlled the game from start to finish with 65% possession, created chance after chance, and never stopped attacking. A disciplined, fearless, and deserving performance from the new world champions. Congratulations, Spain! 🇪🇸👏

Massive respect to Emiliano “Emi” Martínez. The final score does not reflect how incredible he was. With 11 brilliant saves, he kept Argentina in the match until the very end. Without him, the score could have been much more one-sided. A world class performance on the biggest stage. 🧤💙

Football can be decided by one moment. Spain earned the trophy with a dominant display, while Argentina fought until the final whistle.

🏆 Congratulations, Spain.
