On July 21, 2025, sorrow descended on Milestone College in Diabari as a Bangladesh Air Force F‑7 BGI training jet, striving to spare civilian lives amid a technical failure, crashed into the campus—claiming the brave pilot Flight Lieutenant Towkir Islam Sagar and, heartbreakingly, dozens of young students already seated in their classrooms. The sky wept that afternoon; the hallways echoed with anguish. Today, our hearts stand united in grief for the souls lost and those fighting to survive, and we pledge to honor their memory by demanding safety, accountability, and compassion in every corner of our skies.

On this auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, GSTUGAC extends warm greetings to all who seek wisdom, compassion, and inner peace. As we commemorate the birth, enlightenment, and mahāparinibbāna of Lord Buddha, let us pause to reflect on the timeless truths he bestowed—mindfulness in every action, kindness toward all beings, and the courage to walk the Middle Path amidst life’s extremes. Today, we honor his legacy by embracing the spirit of non-violence, cultivating empathy in our hearts, and pledging to foster harmony within our communities. May the light of his teachings dispel the darkness of ignorance and guide us toward collective well-being.

At GSTUGAC, we believe that the principles of interdependence and universal love transcend boundaries and unite us in our shared humanity. On this sacred day, let us recommit ourselves to building bridges of understanding, uplifting the vulnerable, and championing peace across nations. Whether through thoughtful dialogue, acts of service, or silent meditation, each of us can contribute to a more just and compassionate world. From our council to yours, Happy Buddha Purnima—may your journey be filled with insight, serenity, and boundless goodwill.
