On July 21, 2025, sorrow descended on Milestone College in Diabari as a Bangladesh Air Force F‑7 BGI training jet, striving to spare civilian lives amid a technical failure, crashed into the campus—claiming the brave pilot Flight Lieutenant Towkir Islam Sagar and, heartbreakingly, dozens of young students already seated in their classrooms. The sky wept that afternoon; the hallways echoed with anguish. Today, our hearts stand united in grief for the souls lost and those fighting to survive, and we pledge to honor their memory by demanding safety, accountability, and compassion in every corner of our skies.

A moment to remember! A dedicated team of the GSTU Global Affairs Council had the distinct honor of meeting with our esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar. In a warm and inspiring discussion, we shared our heartfelt gratitude and recounted the many milestones of GSTUIMUN 2025—from spirited committee debates to the innovative resolutions that showcased our university’s diplomatic spirit. His encouragement and visionary insights have fueled our passion even further, reminding us that with collaboration and commitment, anything is possible.

We were equally privileged to have our guiding lights, Dr. Niaz Al Hasan Sir and Dr. Nasir Sir, by our side throughout this meeting. Their wisdom and unwavering support have been the backbone of our journey, steering us toward excellence both on and off the Model UN stage.
