Official page of IUT Alumni Association (IUTAA). IUTAA is an organisation of the graduates of Islamic University of Technology ( IUT ), Dhaka

IUT Alumni Association has inaugurated with following objectives,
1. To establish a common platform for social, cultural and professional activities among the IUT alumni.
2. To develop stronger bond and cohesion among the fellow alumni in order to help & support each other personally and professionally.
3. To exchange & share knowledge by conducting conferences, seminars, workshops, and discussion

forums on relevant issues for IUT alumni and other members of the community.
4. To appropriately link, liaise, and complement the activities of the other similar associations, institutes, and forums or clubs of IUT graduates that may exist in Bangladesh and in other countries.
5. To provide support to the IUT alumni and their families in difficult time
6. To organize social & cultural activities such as reunions, social gathering, picnics, dinners, cultural programs, and exchange visits for greater social bonding & cohesion among IUT Alumni and their family members.
7. To develop, implement & monitor humanitarian, social welfare or technological projects in Australia and Bangladesh for the benefit of the members, their families and other members of the communities.
8. To set guidelines for ethics and disciplines for the members of the Association,
9. To continually expand its membership base and to collect contributions, donations and grants from Members, Patrons, individuals, companies, firms, and societies. These contributions will be the primary financial resource required for implementing the various programs and activities of the Association for achieving its objectives
10. To acquire and dispose off assets and properties for the benefit and improvement of the Association.
11. To invest monies of the Association not immediately required in such a manner as may from time to time be determined by the Executive Committee.

IUT Alumni Association proudly presents a structured mentorship initiative connecting IUT graduates with experienced alumni mentors from around the world. Whether you're looking to guide the next generation or grow in your own career, this program is designed for you!

Who Can Join?

Mentors:
• IUT graduates with at least 2 years of professional experience
• IUTAA membership not required
• International alumni welcome

Mentees:
• Must be a valid IUTAA member
• Committed to attending at least 2 sessions
• Note: Current students are not eligible right now

What to Expect?

3-layer mentorship format:

• 1-on-1 Mentorship

We are delighted to share that Khalid Saifullah, an alumnus of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), has been offered a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the Department of Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Harvard Medical School, beginning July 1, 2026. He will join the laboratory of Dr. Valentina Perosa at the J. Philip Kistler Stroke Research Center, where his work will focus on applying advanced neuroimaging and machine learning to better understand brain diseases of aging.

Khalid is currently completing his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, under the supervision of Prof. Konstantinos Arfanakis, in collaboration with the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center. His doctoral research focuses on developing neuroimaging biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease, combining MRI, neuropathology, and machine learning to enable individualized disease characterization.

We wish him continued success in life as he keeps inspiring thousands of IUTIANS worldwide!

Today marks the Foundation Day of Islamic University of Technology.

46 years ago, on 27th March 1981, the foundation stone was laid by then President Ziaur Rahman, PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat, and OIC Secretary-General Habib Chatty.

The IUTAA family gathered together for a heartfelt Iftar and prayer, remembering our beloved brothers who are no longer with us.

It was a meaningful evening of reunion, reflection, and remembrance. We were honored by the presence of our Honourable Vice Chancellor and the father of our departed brother, Md. Shamsuddoha Russell. They shared touching words and memories with everyone present.

Before breaking the fast, special prayers were offered for our brothers who have left us, asking for peace and mercy upon their souls.

The evening served as a reminder of the strong bond within the IUTAA family and the lasting memories of those we have lost but will never forget.

ZAKAT FUND 2026

The Zakat Fund, a noble initiative of the IUT Alumni Association (IUTAA), is now open for 2026. The fund is operated by the Zakat Fund Subcommittee under IUTAA.

The collection campaign is now live and will continue until April 15, 2026.

This year, the committee will be led by Mohammad Abdul Kader Bhuyan bhai and Mohammad Rubbyat Akram bhai, who will oversee the operations and ensure the proper distribution of funds. IUTAA wholeheartedly thanks them for coming forward and taking on this responsibility in service to the community.

In selecting recipients, we follow a careful and rigorous scrutiny process to ensure that eligible candidates are chosen in accordance with Shariah guidelines. We strive to uphold transparency, accountability, and sincerity in this amanah, and indeed, Allah (SWT) knows best.

Registration for IUTAA Iftar & Dua Mahfil 2026 is now live! Please grab your ticket and book your slot to join us for this special gathering.

This year, our Iftar get together carries a deep significance as we come together to hold a Dua Mahfil for our beloved brother and former IUTAA President, Md. Shamsuddoha Russell (CIT ’03) bhai. We invite the entire IUT family to unite in prayer for his eternal peace while sharing the spirit of Ramadan.

Date: March 08, 2026
Venue: Cricketers Kitchen & Cafe, Gulshan
Dinner: A Buffet Dinner will be served immediately after Iftar.

IUTAA Members: 1,300 BDT
Non-Members: 1,500 BDT
