Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) is the umbrella organization of the trade unions of the journalists in Bangladesh. It fights for protecting and promoting journalists’ rights and interests. BFUJ was established in 1950 as Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists. After independence of Bangladesh, it was renamed as Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ). As the representative bod

BFUJ is a common platform of all the professional journalists. At present, over 3,700 members are linked up with BFUJ. Sister components of BFUJ include Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ), Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ), Rajshahi Union of Journalists (RUJ) Khulna Union of Journalists (KUJ), Jessore Union of Journalists (JUJ), Bogra Union of Journalists (BUJ), Dinajpur Union of Journalists (DUJ), Mymensingh Union of Journalists (MUJ), Journalists Union Kustia and Nararyan District Union of Journalists (NUJ).
