BUFT's official student association to empower students through Model UN by fostering diplomacy.

BUFTMUNA draws a diverse group of informed students from BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology. Our conferences are hands-on learning opportunities that provide students with a better understanding of how the United Nations works and a forum to hone skills in diplomacy, negotiation, critical thinking, compromise, public speaking, writing, and research.

BUFT Model United Nations Association (BUFTMUNA) proudly participated in Rajshahi University Model United Nations 2026.

The delegation team engaged actively in dynamic committee sessions, demonstrating strong research, critical thinking and diplomatic skills through debates, resolution drafting, negotiations and impactful speeches. Their dedication and teamwork reflected a commitment to meaningful dialogue and global problem solving.

A verbal mention was given to "Munif Ul Hoque" for representing Qatar in the UNCTAD committee, acknowledging his active participation and contributions throughout the sessions.

We also extend our appreciation to "Arik Eshayat", who took on the role of Rapporteur in UNHRC, showcasing responsibility, organization and consistent professionalism throughout the sessions.

The participation carried forward into structured dialogue, effective committee flow and purposeful discussions, reinforcing BUFTMUNA’s commitment to developing skilled and thoughtful delegates.

বাংলা নববর্ষের আনন্দে রঙিন হয়ে উঠুক আমাদের প্রিয় ক্যাম্পাস। 🎉
ঐতিহ্য, সংস্কৃতি ও উৎসবের মিলনে BUFT-এ উদযাপিত হতে যাচ্ছে বৈশাখী রঙে রাঙানো বৈশাখ। বৈশাখ উপলক্ষে থাকছে দিনব্যাপী বর্ণিল আয়োজন।

এই আনন্দঘন আয়োজনে সকলকে জানাই আন্তরিক ভাবে আমন্ত্রণ।

“বৈশাখ আসে নতুন আলো আর নতুন আশার বার্তা নিয়ে, জেগে ওঠে বাঙালির চিরন্তন উৎসবের প্রাণ।”

পহেলা বৈশাখ বাঙালির আনন্দ, ঐতিহ্য আর মিলনের এক উজ্জ্বল উৎসব। ঢাকের তালে তালে, বৈশাখী গানের সুরে আর লাল সাদার রঙে মুখর হয়ে ওঠে চারপাশ। মঙ্গল শোভাযাত্রার বর্ণিল আয়োজন, লোকজ সংস্কৃতির ছোঁয়া আর উৎসবমুখর মানুষের ভিড়ে এই দিনটি যেন হয়ে ওঠে বাঙালির প্রাণের প্রতিচ্ছবি। শহর থেকে গ্রাম, সর্বত্র ছড়িয়ে পড়ে নববর্ষের আনন্দ আর মিলনের আবহ। এই উৎসব আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয় আমাদের শিকড়, আমাদের সংস্কৃতি এবং সেই চিরচেনা বাঙালিয়ানা যা প্রজন্ম থেকে প্রজন্মে বয়ে চলেছে। পুরোনো দিনের সব ক্লান্তি ও গ্লানি পেছনে ফেলে নতুন আশা, নতুন স্বপ্ন আর সামনে এগিয়ে যাওয়ার সাহস নিয়েই আসে বাংলা নববর্ষ।

বাংলা নববর্ষের এই আনন্দঘন মুহূর্তে বিইউএফটি ছায়া জাতিসংঘ সকলকে জানায় আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা। নতুন বছর সবার জীবনে বয়ে আনুক সুখ, শান্তি ও সাফল্য।

Members of BUFTMUNA recently participated in a workshop on the Sustainable UK–Bangladesh Transnational Education Framework, powered by British Council and held at University of Dhaka.

The workshop, conducted as part of the BELT Project under the UK TNE framework, brought together participants for a day of interactive discussions and group activities focused on (SDG 4) Quality Education and (SDG 5) Gender Equality.

Through collaborative engagement, participants explored key challenges and opportunities in promoting inclusive education, gender equality and the effective use of blended learning approaches. The session also highlighted how students can benefit from globally aligned education and skill development opportunities within Bangladesh.

It was an insightful and engaging experience, reflecting BUFTMUNA’s continued commitment to learning, collaboration and contributing to a more inclusive and future-ready education system.

“26 March 2026”, celebrating 55 Years of Independence. A Nation’s Pride!

On this day, in 1971, Bangladesh emerged from struggle and hope, as countless brave souls fought for the right to live freely in their own land. Their courage and determination turned a dream of freedom into reality, shaping the nation we are proud to call our own today.

In honoring their sacrifice and the values they upheld, BUFTMUNA proudly celebrates the 55th anniversary of our independence, honoring the heroes who made it possible and reflecting on the values they stood for. Today, we keep their vision alive by working toward a nation. Wishing Bangladesh a future filled with growth, harmony and endless possibilities.

25 March,1971, is a day forever remembered in the heart of Bangladesh. On this day, we recall the brutal crackdown by the Pakistani Army, when countless innocent lives were mercilessly taken. Families were torn apart, dreams were shattered and a nation faced unimaginable grief.

In solemn remembrance, we honor the souls lost and pay tribute to the extraordinary courage displayed during our nation’s darkest hour. Their sacrifice became the cornerstone of our independence and their legacy continues to inspire the strength, unity and resilience of the Bangladeshi people.

BUFTMUNA honors their memory with deep respect, carrying forward their hopes and sacrifices and dedicates itself to stand for justice, peace and humanity, so that such darkness is never repeated on our soil.

After a month of fasting, reflection and prayer, Eid-ul-Fitr arrives as a graceful reminder of faith, gratitude and togetherness. It is a time to reconnect with our loved ones, to extend kindness with open hearts and to carry forward the values and lessons that Ramadan has inspired in us.

With its arrival comes an atmosphere of celebration that brightens our homes and uplifts our spirits. It offers a meaningful time to share laughter, exchange heartfelt wishes and embrace one another with renewed warmth and affection. In these precious moments together, our hearts fill with lasting happiness and our gatherings leave behind memories we hold close.
On this blessed occasion, BUFTMUNA conveys its heartfelt wishes to all. As the spirit of Eid-ul-Fitr fills the air with joy and reflection, BUFTMUNA took a moment to celebrate it with the people who are at the heart of our journey.

In a gesture of sincere appreciation, we extended our gratitude to our respected authorities, honorable administrative leaders, dedicated faculty members from every department and our valued Advisor, individuals whose guidance and support continue to shape us.

With handmade Eid cards and small tokens of appreciation, we shared our heartfelt thanks for their constant encouragement and inspiration. Wishing them and their families a beautiful Eid filled with peace, happiness and countless blessings.

BUFTMUNA’s Annual Iftar Mahfil 2026, held on 7th March, beautifully celebrated the values of this holy month as members and alumni came together as one community. The evening offered warmth, meaningful connections and heartfelt conversations among our respected Alumni, Executive Board Members and Associate Members.

The presence of our alumni added special meaning to the evening, as they shared their experiences, offered encouragement and inspired current members to carry forward the dedication and teamwork that define BUFTMUNA. The evening was full of stories, laughter and time spent reconnecting with one another. It was more than just an Iftar, it was a chance to appreciate the people and experiences that shape BUFTMUNA and make our community special.

May the warmth and inspiration of this Iftar Mahfil continue to guide and motivate the BUFTMUNA family throughout the year.
