🌱 Empowering Entrepreneurs Through Green Micro Business Training 🌱

On 18th September 2026, a Training for Entrepreneurs was successfully organized at My Village Office, Stung Treng Province, Cambodia, as part of Mutual Learning for Nature & People-MLNP Project. The training aimed to support selected entrepreneurs in developing their Green Micro-Business (GMB) plans, strengthen their understanding of business planning, explore green business opportunities, and finalize their individual business ideas. The session also included discussions on the GMB Grant Agreement and Land Use Agreement.

The entire session was facilitated by the SEEP Project Exchange Participants, who actively supported the entrepreneurs through presentations, group discussions, and personalized guidance to improve their business plans. The activity successfully contributed to strengthening entrepreneurial capacity and preparing participants for the implementation of sustainable Green Micro-Business initiatives.

গত ১৮ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৬ তারিখে কম্বোডিয়ার স্টাং ট্রেং প্রদেশের, মাই ভিলেজ অফিসে উদ্যোক্তাদের জন্য একটি বিশেষ Training for Entrepreneurs সফলভাবে আয়োজন করা হয়। এই প্রশিক্ষণের মূল লক্ষ্য ছিল নির্বাচিত উদ্যোক্তাদের Green Micro-Business (GMB) পরিকল্পনা তৈরিতে সহায়তা করা, ব্যবসায়িক পরিকল্পনার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়গুলো সম্পর্কে ধারণা দেওয়া, সবুজ ব্যবসার সম্ভাবনা তুলে ধরা এবং তাদের নিজস্ব ব্যবসায়িক ধারণাগুলো আরও উন্নত ও চূড়ান্ত করতে সহযোগিতা করা। পাশাপাশি GMB Grant Agreement এবং Land Use Agreement সম্পর্কেও বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করা হয়।
পুরো প্রশিক্ষণ সেশনটি SEEP Project Exchange Participants-দের মাধ্যমে পরিচালিত ও সহযোগিতা করা হয়। তারা প্রেজেন্টেশন, গ্রুপ আলোচনা এবং ব্যক্তিগত দিকনির্দেশনার মাধ্যমে উদ্যোক্তাদের ব্যবসায়িক পরিকল্পনা আরও শক্তিশালী করতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখেন। এই কার্যক্রমের মাধ্যমে উদ্যোক্তারা তাদের ব্যবসায়িক ধারণাকে আরও সুসংগঠিত করেন, পরিকল্পনা চূড়ান্ত করেন এবং টেকসই Green Micro-Business উদ্যোগ বাস্তবায়নের জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় প্রস্তুতি সম্পন্ন করেন।

ডেঙ্গুর লক্ষণ দেখা দিলে অবহেলা করবেন না। সময়মতো লক্ষণ শনাক্ত করা, প্রয়োজনীয় পরীক্ষা এবং চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ নেওয়া গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

এডিস মশার মাধ্যমে ছড়ানো ডেঙ্গু প্রতিরোধে আমাদের সবার সচেতন হওয়া প্রয়োজন।

Concern Worldwide Bangladesh আয়োজিত “Beyond Partnership: Towards Local Leadership” অনুষ্ঠানে SEEP-এর পক্ষ থেকে অংশগ্রহণ করেন উপ-নির্বাহী পরিচালক, তহমিনা জেসমিন মিতা।

দাতা সংস্থা, জাতিসংঘ, জাতীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিক উন্নয়ন সংস্থা, একাডেমিয়া, সুশীল সমাজ এবং SEEP, CUP, NARI MAITREE, NSS, SHED, JJS ও GUK-সহ বিভিন্ন অংশীদার প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রতিনিধিদের অংশগ্রহণে আয়োজিত এই অনুষ্ঠানে স্থানীয়করণ, সমতাভিত্তিক অংশীদারিত্ব এবং স্থানীয় নেতৃত্বকে আরও শক্তিশালী করার বিভিন্ন দিক নিয়ে আলোচনা হয়।

আলোচনায় উঠে আসে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভাবনা, শুধু বাস্তবায়ন নয়, সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ, সম্পদ, জ্ঞান ও নেতৃত্বে স্থানীয় প্রতিষ্ঠান ও কমিউনিটির অর্থবহ অংশগ্রহণই প্রকৃত স্থানীয়করণের ভিত্তি।

আরও শক্তিশালী স্থানীয় নেতৃত্ব ও সমতাভিত্তিক অংশীদারিত্বের পথে এই সম্মিলিত যাত্রা অব্যাহত থাকুক।

When floodwaters submerged Sultan’s homestead in Kaiyerbill for seven continuous days, it washed away the family vegetable garden and abruptly halted his ability to pay for his eldest daughter’s upcoming SSC examinations. Through the project ‘BGD-1071 – Multipurpose Cash Assistance to the Most Vulnerable Flood-Affected Population in Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar,’ implemented by SEEP with technical support from Welthungerhilfe (WHH) Bangladesh, Sultan received direct financial support of BDT 8,148 through bKash right when his family needed it most. With flexible cash in hand, he immediately cleared his daughter’s overdue school and exam fees, while investing in quality seeds to replant the garden that sustains his household daily.
"For an entire week, we were stranded in water with no dry place even to cook. Seeing my two-year-old child suffer from hunger broke my heart."— Md. Sultan
By placing flexible cash directly into Sultan’s hands, MPCA does not just restore homestead food production—it protects children's education and safeguards household dignity over times of crisis.

টানা সাত দিন বন্যার পানিতে তলিয়ে ছিল কৈয়ারবিলের কৃষক মো. সুলতানের ভিটেমাটি। ঘরের চারপাশ ডুবে থাকায় নষ্ট হয়ে যায় পরিবারের অন্নের জোগান দেওয়া শাকসবজির বাগানটি, আর সাথে থমকে যায় বড় মেয়ের আসন্ন এস.এস.সি পরীক্ষার যাবতীয় খরচ। এমন দিশেহারা পরিস্থিতিতে Welthungerhilfe (WHH) Bangladesh-এর কারিগরী সহায়তায় SEEP-এর দেওয়া নিঃশর্ত বহুমুখী নগদ অর্থ সহায়তা (MPCA) সুলতানের পরিবারকে নতুন করে ঘুরে দাঁড়ানোর শক্তি দেয়। নগদ টাকা হাতে পেয়ে তিনি কালক্ষেপণ না করে মেয়ের বকেয়া স্কুলের বেতন ও পরীক্ষার ফি মিটিয়ে দেন, আর বাকি টাকায় নতুন বীজ কিনে আবার সাজিয়ে তোলেন তাঁর পারিবারিক সবজি বাগান।
"টানা এক সপ্তাহ আমরা পানিতে আটকা ছিলাম। চুলা জ্বালিয়ে দুই বছরের অবুঝ বাচ্চাটাকে একমুঠো ভাত রেঁধে দেব, সেই উপায়টুকুও ছিল না। নিজের চোখের সামনে দুধের বাচ্চাটার এই কষ্ট সহ্য করা যায় না।"— মো. সুলতান
সরাসরি এই নগদ অর্থ সহায়তা কেবল একটি পরিবারের খাদ্য উৎপাদনের পথই নতুন করে খুলে দেয়নি, বরং দুর্যোগের চরম ধাক্কা সামলেও সন্তানের পড়াশোনার স্বপ্নটাকে বাঁচিয়ে রেখেছে।

সিপ-এর ৪০তম বার্ষিক সাধারণ সভা অনুষ্ঠিত
গত ২২ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৬, মঙ্গলবার, সিপ (Social and Economic Enhancement Programme-SEEP)-এর প্রধান কার্যালয়ে ৪০তম বার্ষিক সাধারণ সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

সভায় সভাপতিত্ব করেন সিপ-এর সম্মানিত চেয়ারপার্সন জনাব রওশন উজ্জামান। সভাটি পরিচালনা করেন সিপ-এর নির্বাহী পরিচালক জনাব মো. ফজলুল হক চৌধুরী এবং সিপ এর উপ নির্বাহী পরিচালক তহমিনা জেসমিন মিতা।

সভায় সিপ-এর বিগত বছরের কার্যক্রম, অর্জন, আর্থিক ও সাংগঠনিক অগ্রগতি এবং ভবিষ্যৎ কর্মপরিকল্পনা নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়। প্রতিষ্ঠানের চলমান কার্যক্রমকে আরও গতিশীল, কার্যকর ও টেকসই করার লক্ষ্যে বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় পর্যালোচনা ও মতবিনিময় করা হয়।
সভায় সিপ-এর সামগ্রিক উন্নয়ন ও ভবিষ্যৎ অগ্রযাত্রায় সংশ্লিষ্ট সকলের সহযোগিতা ও সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণের ওপর গুরুত্বারোপ করা হয়।
সিপ-এর ৪০ বছরের পথচলায় সকল শুভানুধ্যায়ী, সহযোগী প্রতিষ্ঠান, উন্নয়ন অংশীদার, সদস্য ও কর্মীদের প্রতি আন্তরিক কৃতজ্ঞতা।
সিপ- উন্নয়নের ৪০ বছর, মানুষের পাশে নিরন্তর।

🌱 Turning Policy into Practice!

On 8 September, the Mutual Learning for Nature and People (MLNP) initiative held its first internal knowledge-sharing session on SEEP’s Environmental Protection Policy. 💚

The session brought together staff from management, HR, finance, procurement, and project and operations teams to reflect on current practices, identify gaps, and explore practical actions to strengthen sustainability across SEEP’s policies, projects, and operations.

This initiative is an exchange collaboration between SEEP Bangladesh and My Village Cambodia (MVi), with generous support from Norec.

A Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted with the couples participating in the 2025 for Couple Session under the Urban Green Graduation Programme-UGGP. This focus group discussion or discussion meeting was organized in Gabtoli City Colony on Monday, September 14,2026. A total of 6 couples participated in this discussion. This session focused on building a peaceful family in the lives of couples, improving relationships with husband and wife and all family members, increasing respect for each other and creating a cooperative attitude towards each other, increasing the ability of understanding within the family and increasing the participation of women in solving various family problems, decision-making for the development of the family and maintaining peace and order, improving relationships, giving importance to opinions, preventing family violence, positively raising children, positive changes in attitude and whether the program is helping the beneficiaries to be graduate or not. The implementing agency of the Urban Green Graduation Programme-UGGP is Social and Economic Enhancement Programme-SEEP and the supporting organization is Concern Worldwide.
আরবান গ্রীন গ্রাজুয়েশন প্রোগ্রাম এর অধীনে ২০২৫-এ কাপল সেশনে অংশগ্রহনারী দম্পতিদের সাথে সম্পন্ন হলো ফোকাস গ্রুপ ডিসকাশন (এফ.জি.ডি)। গতকাল সোমবার, সেপ্টেম্বর ১৪, ২০২৬ গাবতলির সিটি কলোনি বস্তিতে এই ফোকাস গ্রুপ ডিসকাশন বা আলোচনা সভার আয়োজন করা হয় । এই আলোচনায় মোট ৬টি দম্পতি অংশগ্রহন করেন । এই সেশন দম্পতিদের জীবনে শান্তিপূর্ণ পরিবার গঠন, স্বামী- স্ত্রী ও পরিবারের সকলের সাথে সম্পর্ক উন্নয়ন , একে অপরের প্রতি সম্মান বৃদ্ধি এবং একে অপরের প্রতি সহযোগিতাপূর্ন মনোভাব তৈরি, পরিবারের মধ্যে বোঝাপড়ার সক্ষমতা এবং পরিবারের বিভিন্ন সমস্যা সমাধানের ক্ষেত্রে নারীদের অংশগ্রহণ বৃদ্ধিসহ পরিবারের উন্নয়ন এবং শান্তি শৃঙ্খলা বজায় রাখার লক্ষ্যে সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ, সম্পর্ক উন্নয়ন, মতামতের গুরুত্ব প্রদান, পারিবারিক সহিংসতা প্রতিরোধ, ইতিবাচকভাবে সন্তান লালন পালন, দৃষ্টিভঙ্গির ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তন এবং প্রোগ্রাম এর লক্ষ্য অর্জনে সুবিধাভোগীদেরকে গ্রাজ্যুয়েট হতে সাহায্য করছে কি না-এসব বিষয় নিয়ে সভায় আলোচনা করা হয়। আরবান গ্রীন গ্রাজুয়েশন প্রোগ্রামটির বাস্তবায়নকারী সংস্থা সিপ এবং সহায়তাকারী প্রতিষ্ঠান কনসার্ন ওয়ার্ল্ড ওয়াইড।

Building Partnerships, Creating Impact:

SEEP held a productive meeting with Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) on 14 September 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the SEEP Urban Green Graduation Programme-UGGP Office to explore potential areas of partnership and collaboration. The meeting was attended by Md. Monsur Shikdar (Assistant Manager, Mutual Trust Bank), Ms. Jannat (Communication officer, Mutual Trust Bank), Farzana Azam (Fundraising and Field Operations Manager, UGGP), Ruhul Amin Siddiquie (Programme Coordinator, UGGP), Nadia Parvin Disha (Monitoring officer, UGGP) and relevant staffs at SEEP. The discussion focused on key areas, including climate action, community daycare, humanitarian response, and future resource mobilization opportunities.

Together, we look forward to exploring new opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and creating a greater impact for communities.

As part of the Mutual Learning for Nature & People-MLNP Project, SEEP Project Exchange Participants conducted a field visit in Sam Khouy Village, Stung Treng, Cambodia engaging directly with selected entrepreneurs involved in Green Micro Business. The visit focused on understanding their existing livelihood activities, business ideas, available resources, key challenges, investment needs, market opportunities, and future plans.
The insights gathered will contribute to developing practical and sustainable Green Micro Business Plans tailored to the entrepreneurs’ capacities, interests, and local context—supporting improved income opportunities and sustainable livelihoods. 🌿🤝

Mutual Learning for Nature & People- MLNP Project-এর আওতায় SEEP-এর Project Exchange Participants কম্বোডিয়ার Stung Treng-এর Sam Khouy Village-এ একটি মাঠপর্যায়ের ভিজিট পরিচালনা করেন। এ সময় তারা Green Micro Business-এর সঙ্গে সম্পৃক্ত নির্বাচিত উদ্যোক্তাদের সঙ্গে সরাসরি আলোচনা করেন। ভিজিটটির মূল উদ্দেশ্য ছিল উদ্যোক্তাদের বর্তমান জীবিকা কার্যক্রম, ব্যবসায়িক ধারণা, বিদ্যমান সম্পদ, প্রধান চ্যালেঞ্জ, বিনিয়োগের প্রয়োজন, বাজারের সুযোগ এবং ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিতভাবে জানা।
