We are proud to share that our Deputy Executive Director, Tohomina Jesmin Mita, represented Social and Economic Enhancement Programme – SEEP at the official launch of the “NGO–MFI Resourced Pooled Fund” by Start Bangladesh Hub—a landmark initiative advancing locally led humanitarian financing in Bangladesh.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Chief Guest Mr. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, alongside senior representatives from the Microcredit Regulatory Authority, Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, NGO Affairs Bureau, Start Network, and international development partners.

SEEP is honoured to be part of this important step toward building a more resilient, dignified, and community-led humanitarian future.

SEEP recently organized a “Research Insights & Learning Exchange Workshop on Disaster Management” at the Ramada Hotel, Cox’s Bazar. Chaired by SEEP's Deputy Executive Director Tohomina Jesmin Mita, and honored by the presence of the DC of Cox's Bazar as Chief Guest, the event united government officials, academics, and development practitioners to tackle disaster risks.

An action research presentation on Chakaria and Sitakunda revealed a critical gap; coastal communities often face a 6 to 12-hour delay in receiving early warning messages.

Distinguished guests, including WHH's Programme Head Malte Schümmelfeder, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun, DRRO Md. Azader Rahman, and Assistant Commissioners Md. Azahar Uddin & Md. Nazmul Hasan Naeem emphasized the need for environmental protection, climate-resilient agriculture, and stronger NGO-government coordination.

Through the SEEP BGD 1042 Project, we remain committed to building resilient communities by bridging these gaps with data-driven planning and active local engagement.

দুর্যোগ ঝুঁকি হ্রাসের লক্ষ্যে কক্সবাজারের রামাদা হোটেলে SEEP-এর উদ্যোগে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো "দুর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা বিষয়ক রিসার্চ ইনসাইটস ও লার্নিং এক্সচেঞ্জ" কর্মশালা । SEEP-এর উপ-নির্বাহী পরিচালক তহমিনা জেসমিন মিতার সভাপতিত্বে এবং কক্সবাজারের জেলা প্রশাসকের প্রধান আতিথ্যে এই আয়োজনে সরকারি কর্মকর্তা, শিক্ষাবিদ ও উন্নয়নকর্মীরা একত্রিত হন ।

চকরিয়া ও সীতাকুণ্ডের ওপর পরিচালিত গবেষণায় দেখা গেছে, দুর্যোগের আগাম সতর্কবার্তা পৌঁছাতে ৬-১২ ঘণ্টা বিলম্ব হয়, যা যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার বড় একটি ঘাটতি ।

অনুষ্ঠানে WHH-এর প্রোগ্রাম হেড মাল্টে, চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক ড. মো. আব্দুল্লাহ আল-মামুন, ডিআরআরও মো. আজাদের রহমান এবং সহকারী কমিশনার মো. আজাহার উদ্দিন ও মো. নজমুল হাসান নাঈম পরিবেশ রক্ষা, জলবায়ু-সহনশীল কৃষি এবং সরকারি-বেসরকারি সমন্বয় বৃদ্ধির ওপর জোর দেন ।

সিপ কর্তৃক বাস্তবায়িত কনসার্ন ওয়ার্ল্ড ওয়াইড এর সহায়তায় আরবান গ্রীন গ্রাজুয়েশন প্রোগ্রাম এর অধীনে সম্পন্ন হলো প্রথম ব্যাচ-এর অংশীদারদের গ্রাজুয়েশন মূল্যায়ন কার্যক্রম। আজ ০১ এপ্রিল ২০২৬ ট ব্লক বস্তি, দুয়ারীপাড়া বস্তি, শহীদ বুদ্ধিজীবী বস্তি এবং গাবতলীর বড় বাজার এলাকাতে এই মূল্যায়ন কার্যক্রম পরিচালিত হয়। মূল্যায়ন কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করেন জনাব রুবেল তালুকদার (প্রোগ্রাম ম্যানেজার, কনসার্ন ওয়ার্ল্ড ওয়াইড), ওয়াহিদ ফেরদৌস (মিল অফিসার- প্রোগ্রাম কোয়ালিটি এবং বিজনেস ডেভেলাপমেন্ট, কনসার্ন ওয়ার্ল্ড ওয়াইড), জনাব আনোয়ার হোসেন মোল্লা (প্রোগ্রাম ডিরেক্টর, সিপ), জনাব রুহুল আমীন সিদ্দীকিসহ সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মীবৃন্দ।

The graduation evaluation of the first batch of participants under the Urban Green Graduation Programme implemented by SEEP with the support of Concern Worldwide has been completed. Today, April 01, 2026, this evaluation was conducted in Ta Block Slum, Duaripara Slum, Shaheed Buddhijibi Slum and Baro Bazar area of ​​Gabtoli. The evaluation was conducted by Mr. Rubel Talukder (Programme Manager, Concern Worldwide), Wahid Ferdous (MEAL Officer - Programme Quality and Business Development, Concern Worldwide), Mr. Anowar Hossain Mollah (Programme Director, SEEP), Mr. Ruhul Amin Siddiquie and related staff.
