Empowering future-ready analysts through Python and data-driven learning at NSU!

NSU Business Analytics Club, in collaboration with the Department of Management, successfully organized “Python for Data Analytics in Business 1.0”. The program combined engaging learning sessions with hands-on experience in Python, data analytics, and visualization, equipping participants with practical skills relevant to today’s business environment.

Under the guidance of Dr. Md. Noman Hossain Chowdhury, Associate Professor of MIS in the Department of Management, students explored practical applications of Python in business analytics and data-driven decision-making.

The Closing Ceremony was attended by Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, along with distinguished faculty members from across the university.

Among them were Prof. Dr. AKM Waresul Karim, Dean, School of Business & Economics; Prof. Dr. Shazzad Hosain, Dean, School of Engineering & Physical Sciences; Prof. Dr. Sharif Nurul Ahkam, Professor, Department of Accounting & Finance and Director, Center for Social Impact and Sustainability (CSIS); Dr. Md. Faisol Chowdhury, Director, BBA Program; and Dr. Ziaul Haq Adnan, Chair, Department of Management.

At the ceremony, the honorable Vice-Chancellor and other distinguished guests shared valuable insights on the growing importance of data analytics, programming, and digital skills in shaping future-ready graduates. The ceremony also featured the distribution of course completion certificates to participants, while facilitators were recognized with crests for their contribution to the program.

Every system we rely on, every service we experience, and every advancement we witness is shaped by the steady efforts of workers across all fields. At the heart of International Labour Day lies a simple truth: labor is the foundation of all progress. As Virgil expressed, “Labor omnia vincit.”

This Latin phrase translates to “labor conquers all.” It reflects the belief that persistent effort and dedication can overcome obstacles and transform ambition into achievement, a principle that continues to define progress across societies and industries.

International Labour Day serves as a reminder that labor is more than effort; it is dignity, resilience, and the driving force behind every economy and community. It honors the workers whose daily contributions sustain life and enable growth across every sector.

The NSU Business Analytics Club pays tribute to the unwavering dedication of workers whose efforts continue to build and sustain our world. This day stands as a recognition of their resilience, perseverance, and the enduring strength that arises from labor across generations.

The Department of Management at North South University, in collaboration with the NSU Business Analytics Club, presents a practical certification program designed to build strong foundations in Python and its application in business data analytics.

This bootcamp is structured to help participants move from basic programming concepts to real-world data handling, analysis, and visualization used in modern organizations.

𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱:
• Introduction to Python, IDEs, Scripts vs Programs
• Functions, Loops, and Conditional Statements
• Data Structures, Strings & File I/O
• Data Analysis Packages and Data Visualization

𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:
Registration Deadline: 15th April 2026
Course Fee: BDT 5,000
Venue: NSU Campus

Proud to have launched the AWS Cloud Foundation Certification at NSU!

NSU Business Analytics Club, in collaboration with the Department of Management and AWS Academy, successfully organized the AWS Cloud Foundation Certification program. The three-week program combined engaging learning modules with hands-on cloud computing sessions, providing participants with valuable exposure to real-world digital skills.

Guided by Mr. Raguib Raihan, Lecturer of the Department of Management at North South University, students explored the fundamentals of cloud computing and its growing relevance in today’s data-driven world.

The journey concluded with a Closing Ceremony attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury along with distinguished faculty members, where certificates were distributed to participants, marking a proud milestone for all involved.

As the blessed month of Ramaḍān ends, we celebrate the joy, gratitude, and togetherness that Eid al-Fiṭr brings.

May this Eid remind us of the lessons of patience, generosity, and devotion we embraced during Ramaḍān, inspire us to continue living by these values in every aspect of our lives, and keep our hearts ever grateful and devoted to Allah’s guidance.

On this blessed occasion, let us also remember our brothers and sisters facing hardship around the world, in Palestine, Arakan, Uyghur regions, Iran, and beyond, and pray for their safety, peace, and justice.

“The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.” [Qurʾān 97:3]

Tonight, on the 27th night of Ramaḍān, a night considered by the majority of scholars as the most likely Laylat al-Qadr, we pray that our hearts are filled with faith, our prayers are accepted, and our lives are guided with wisdom and peace.

The Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ) said, “Whoever stands (in prayer) on Laylat al-Qadr out of faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhārī, 1901]

রক্তে রাঙানো একুশ আমাদের আত্মপরিচয়ের শিকড়।

১৯৫২-এর সেই সাহসী তরুণরা দেখিয়ে দিয়েছিলেন-ভাষা শুধু উচ্চারণ নয়, ভাষা মানে অস্তিত্ব, মর্যাদা ও স্বাধীনতার অধিকার। তাদের আত্মত্যাগেই বাংলা আজ বিশ্বমঞ্চে গর্বের সঙ্গে উচ্চারিত।

মায়ের ভাষা আমাদের অনুভবের প্রথম শব্দ, স্বপ্নের প্রথম রঙ, প্রতিবাদের প্রথম শক্তি। একুশের চেতনা আমাদের শেখায়-নিজস্ব ভাষাকে ভালোবাসা মানে নিজের ইতিহাসকে সম্মান করা, নিজের সংস্কৃতিকে ধারণ করা।

আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবসে আমরা শ্রদ্ধাভরে স্মরণ করি সকল ভাষা শহীদকে এবং অঙ্গীকার করি-বাংলা শুধু বলব না, বাংলাকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখব চিন্তায়, সৃষ্টিতে ও কর্মে।
