“মানুষের ভিতরটা যে কত বিচিত্র, কত অন্ধকার, তা মানুষ নিজেই জানে না।”

বাংলা কথাসাহিত্যে মানুষের মন, সমাজ ও অস্তিত্বের গভীর অন্ধকারকে যিনি অসাধারণ নির্মোহতায় তুলে ধরেছিলেন, তিনি সৈয়দ ওয়ালীউল্লাহ।

১৯২২ সালের ১৫ আগস্ট জন্ম নেওয়া এই কথাসাহিত্যিক ছিলেন একাধারে ঔপন্যাসিক, গল্পকার ও নাট্যকার। ‘লালসালু’, ‘চাঁদের অমাবস্যা’ ও ‘কাঁদো নদী কাঁদো’র মতো কালজয়ী রচনায় তিনি তুলে ধরেছেন ধর্মীয় ভণ্ডামি, সামাজিক সংকট, মানুষের একাকিত্ব ও অস্তিত্বের গভীর প্রশ্ন। তাঁর লেখার ভাষা ছিল সংযত ও তার ভেতরের প্রশ্নগুলো ছিল তীব্র। অল্প কিছু রচনাতেই তিনি বাংলা সাহিত্যে এমন এক স্বতন্ত্র জগৎ নির্মাণ করে গেছেন, যা আজও পাঠককে নিজের ভেতরের অন্ধকারের মুখোমুখি দাঁড় করায়।

আজ ১৫ আগস্ট, তাঁর জন্মদিনে সরকারি বিজ্ঞান কলেজ কালচারাল ক্লাব পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে বাংলা সাহিত্যের এই প্রখ্যাত কথাসাহিত্যিকের প্রতি রইল বিনম্র শ্রদ্ধা।

Former President of the Govt. Science College Cultural Club - GSCCC, and a proud member of the 71st batch of Govt. Science College, HSC 2025.

As President, he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the growth and progress of the club. A talented vocalist, dedicated mentor, and passionate cultural enthusiast, he has guided and inspired countless junior members.
