Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management (BSTQM) is a voluntary organization engaged in promoting Total Quality Management (TQM) in Bangladesh since 1996. The society was established on 04 May 1996. Late Engineer Mofiud Doula, a renowned quality expert Engr. Khairul Bashar P. Engr, Engr. Mokarram Uddin Ahmed, Engr. Syed Masud Hasan and Mr. Biswas has taken the initiate to establish BSTQM fo

r the welfare and benefit of mankind. Engr. Mofiud Doula was elected as the first President and Engr. Mokarram Uddin Ahmed was became the first General Secretary. Initiated under their leadership BSTQM emerged as a leading agency promoting Quality Management and culture in all sectors of the economy. Initially the organization was named as TQM Club in 1994. In 1996 it was renamed as the Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management.

The Feedback Program for the 31st BSTQM Day 2026 and the 29th National Annual Quality Convention on Industry (NAQCI) 2026 was successfully held on 15 July 2026. ❤️

QC Circles (QCC) Implementation Consultancy Program

🌟 The 3rd & 4th Training Sessions of the QC Circles (QCC) Implementation Consultancy Program were successfully conducted on 13–14 July 2026 at Transcom Electronics Ltd., with the support of the Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management (BSTQM).

🎯 The training focused on the practical implementation of QC Circles (QCC), including how to form effective QCC teams, conduct group discussions, identify workplace problems, apply QC tools and techniques and develop sustainable problem-solving skills to foster a culture of Continuous Improvement within the organization.

Preparing for the 51st ICQCC 2026 in Bangladesh👏

Korean Standards Association (KSA) Delegation Visits the 51st ICQCC 2026 Venue & BSTQM Office in Bangladesh 🇧🇩

🌟As part of the preparations for the 51st International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) 2026, scheduled to be held in Bangladesh from 18–20 November 2026, a delegation from the Korean Standards Association (KSA) visited Bangladesh.

The delegation included:
🔹 HyunDeuk Kim, Director, Ph.D., Quality Innovation Center
🔹 Ji Jinhyeon, Senior Researcher, Quality Innovation Center
🔹 Along with other representatives from KSA.

The delegation arrived in Bangladesh on 08 July 2026 and stayed at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka. On 09 July 2026, they were received by M M Kabir Secretary General, BSTQM, who accompanied them to the University of Asia Pacific (UAP).

At UAP, the delegation was welcomed by:

🔹 A K M Shamsul Huda, President, BSTQM

The delegation then visited the proposed venue for the 51st ICQCC 2026 at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP). They were accompanied by:

🔹 Tahamid Ebna Rouf, Assistant Registrar (Admin), UAP

Following the venue inspection, the delegation visited the BSTQM Office, where a productive meeting was held to review the overall preparations, planning and coordination for hosting the 51st ICQCC 2026 in Bangladesh.

⚡️The visit concluded with a cordial discussion and exchange of views with Engr. Md. Abdul Awal, Adviser, BSTQM, reaffirming the shared commitment to organizing a world-class and successful 51st ICQCC 2026.

The two-day SQC Facilitator Skills Training, held from 03–04 July 2026, concluded successfully at ASA University Bangladesh.
Throughout the training, participants gained practical knowledge and hands-on experience in Kaizen, Student Quality Circles (SQC) and quality improvement methodologies.
