Congratulations, Mr. Waiz Rahim!

Startup Association of Bangladesh (SAB) extends its warmest congratulations to Waiz Rahim on his appointment as the first Managing Director & CEO of Bangladesh Startup Investment Company (BSIC).

This is a significant milestone for Bangladesh’s startup and investment ecosystem. We look forward to seeing BSIC play an increasingly impactful role in strengthening access to capital, supporting innovative entrepreneurs, and creating new opportunities for the next generation of Bangladeshi startups.

Honorable Minister ফকির মাহবুব আনাম স্বপন, MP, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Ministry of Science and Technology, joined President of Startup Association of Bangladesh (SAB), Abdur Rashid Sohag, at Biz Nation 3.0, organized by the Islamic University of Technology Career and Business Society (IUTCBS).

As a distinguished guest, President Abdur Rashid Sohag engaged with aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, students, and industry leaders, highlighting the importance of fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration to strengthen Bangladesh's startup ecosystem.

একজন উদ্যোক্তার অফিসে হামলা মানে শুধু একটি অফিস ভাঙচুর নয়, একটি স্বপ্নের উপর হামলা।

গতকাল রাজশাহীর একজন উদ্যোক্তার অফিসে সন্ত্রাসী হামলা হয়েছে। অফিস ভাঙচুর করা হয়েছে, নগদ অর্থ লুট করা হয়েছে, এবং শারীরিকভাবেও আঘাত করা হয়েছে।
ছবিগুলো দেখে শুধু একটি অফিসের ক্ষতি নয়, একজন মানুষের বছরের পর বছর ধরে গড়ে তোলা স্বপ্নের ক্ষতচিহ্নও দেখা যায়।

একজন উদ্যোক্তা জানেন একটি কোম্পানি একদিনে তৈরি হয় না।

এর পেছনে থাকে অসংখ্য নির্ঘুম রাত, পরিবারের সঙ্গে কাটাতে না পারা সময়, শতবার ব্যর্থ হওয়ার পরও আবার উঠে দাঁড়ানোর সাহস, আর নিজের সব স্বপ্ন এক জায়গায় বিনিয়োগ করার গল্প।

কিন্তু দুঃখজনকভাবে, আমাদের দেশে উদ্যোক্তাদের জন্য ব্যবসার ঝুঁকির পাশাপাশি নিরাপত্তার ঝুঁকিও তৈরি হচ্ছে।
আজ রাজশাহীর একজন উদ্যোক্তার অফিসে হামলা হয়েছে।

কাল যে অন্য কোনো জেলার, অন্য কোনো স্টার্টআপ, এসএমই বা উদ্যোক্তার সঙ্গে এমন ঘটনা ঘটবে না তার নিশ্চয়তা কে দেবে?

এ কারণেই শুধু ব্যবসা করলেই হবে না, উদ্যোক্তাদের একটি শক্তিশালী ও ঐক্যবদ্ধ প্ল্যাটফর্মও প্রয়োজন।
একটি এমন সংগঠন প্রয়োজন, যারা
উদ্যোক্তাদের অধিকার নিয়ে কথা বলবে।

হামলা, হয়রানি ও অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে একসঙ্গে দাঁড়াবে।
সরকারের কাছে নীতিগত (Policy) পরিবর্তনের দাবি তুলবে।
আইনগত ও প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক সহায়তার জন্য কাজ করবে।
দেশের প্রতিটি উদ্যোক্তাকে একই ছাতার নিচে আনার চেষ্টা করবে।

একজন উদ্যোক্তার ক্ষতি মানে শুধু একটি প্রতিষ্ঠানের ক্ষতি নয়। এর সঙ্গে জড়িয়ে থাকে কর্মসংস্থান, বিনিয়োগ, উদ্ভাবন এবং দেশের অর্থনীতির ভবিষ্যৎ।

Startup Association of Bangladesh (SAB) বিশ্বাস করে, বাংলাদেশের উদ্যোক্তারা একা নন। আমরা একটি শক্তিশালী, নিরাপদ এবং সহযোগিতাপূর্ণ উদ্যোক্তা ইকোসিস্টেম গড়ে তুলতে চাই, যেখানে অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে সবাই একসঙ্গে দাঁড়াবে।

আজ রাজশাহীর জন্য দাঁড়ানো মানে, আগামীকাল নিজের জন্য একটি নিরাপদ পরিবেশ তৈরি করা।

উদ্যোক্তা বাঁচলে কর্মসংস্থান বাঁচবে।
কর্মসংস্থান বাঁচলে অর্থনীতি এগোবে।

আর অর্থনীতি এগোলে এগিয়ে যাবে বাংলাদেশ।
রাজশাহীর এই ঘটনার দ্রুত ও নিরপেক্ষ তদন্ত, দোষীদের আইনের আওতায় আনা এবং ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত উদ্যোক্তার নিরাপত্তা ও ন্যায়বিচার নিশ্চিত করার জন্য সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের প্রতি আমরা জোর দাবি জানাই।

একজন উদ্যোক্তার পাশে দাঁড়ানো মানে, বাংলাদেশের ভবিষ্যতের পাশে দাঁড়ানো।
