Hashimukh is a beacon of hope for marginalised communities, especially slum children, adolescents, and youth. It strives to break
the cycle of poverty through education, nutrition, health care, and skill development training. Its mission is to create opportunities for those who often remain unseen, unheard, and undeserved. To date, Hashimukh has touched the lives of over 200,000 individuals. On-going programs: Hashimukh Somaj Kallayan Songstha drives social change through five key programs: Transformative Education, Urban Health Development, Healthy Meals, IT Skill Training, and Art Crafting. Hashimukh School nurtures students holistically, fostering moral integrity, compassion, and generosity. With a 98% rise in moral values, we've significantly reduced child marriages and dropouts. Beyond academics, we empower students for both local and global opportunities, shaping them into compassionate, capable individuals. Education: The establishment of the Hashimukh school was the culmination of years of unwavering commitment and diligent effort. We meticulously crafted a curriculum that seamlessly integrated elements of the government syllabus with their own, designed to create a more engaging and stimulating educational experience. Under the education project, HSKS currently serves over 400 children and adolescents with free education from nursery to grade twelve and age range from four to twenty. To date, 1600 have completed primary education, 400 students have completed secondary education, and 50 have passed the SSC & 30 have passed the HSC exam. In 2024, more than 10 students from the slum have passed SSC & HSC, and 15 students have been preparing for the next SSC exam in 2025. Healthy Meal: The daily Healthy Meals Program has been providing nutritious meals such as milk, bun, egg, banana, noodles, yogurts, and biscuits to 200 slum students five days a week with the aim of their weekly minimum nutritional needs benefited with over 720000 meals to date. Urban Health Development: Additionally, the Health and Hygiene Program has been supplying free sanitary napkins to 200 adolescent girls monthly, providing over 22,000 napkins and benefiting more than 10000 individuals through health camps by providing primary health care, reproductive health care, mental health & menstruation health support and creating awareness. IT Training: Hashimukh has been providing basic and advanced level IT training ranging from class five to twelve approximately 150 children at present. Since the start of the project in 2017, The IT Training Program has equipped 1,000 young people with basic & advanced level IT training to date. 18 slum youths have been placed in IT-based work with the assistance of Hashimukh in 2024. Art Crafting : In 2024, more than 100 male & female students have been providing craft training and benefited over 600 students, particularly focusing on undeserved slum girls' empowerment. HSKS participated in different fairs in the last two years & a large number of craft products have been sold. Emergency Response Relief : Hashimukh’s activities are not only confined to giving education and training to the disadvantaged young people of underprivileged society but also provide assistance to the unfortunate people of society who are afflicted with calamities. HSKS has also responded to cyclone Remal and the Southeastern floods in Bangladesh & impacted 10500 people this year, with the previous record of assistance of more than 70000 people since the COVID-19 pandemic. More than100 women have gained digital literacy. Ramadan food distribution has supported over 5000 families. Eid clothes and food distribution benefited over 5000 families.
3000 bags have been distributed. Over 5000 winter clothes and blankets have been distributed.
