It was truly a pleasure to host Professor Mor Naaman, Don and Mibs Follett Professor of Information Science and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at Cornell Tech, at North South University for this special 3-day short course.

The NSU ACM Student Chapter is pleased to share the successful completion of this special short course, held from 30 September to 2 October 2026.

With the participation of 250+ students from North South University and universities across Bangladesh, including BUET, University of Dhaka, UIU, EWU, CUET, and others, the masterclass created an engaging platform for learning, discussion, and reflection on the evolving relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Society.

Throughout the three days, participants explored Generative AI, Large Language Models, human behavior, communication, trust, safety, privacy, education, employment, and the broader societal impact of AI.
