🩸 Awareness Building and Voluntary Blood Donation Program 2026 ❤️‍🩹

On Wednesday, 19 August 2026, AIUB Social Welfare Club–SHOMOY, in association with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, and under the facilitation of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB, successfully organized the “Awareness Building and Voluntary Blood Donation Program 2026” at AIUB campus.

The program was formally inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Honorable Vice Chancellor, AIUB, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, AIUB; Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean, FASS & Acting Treasurer, AIUB; Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor, AIUB. Their presence and encouragement served as a great source of motivation for our donors, volunteers, and organizers.

We are also grateful for the valuable support of Dr. Zahidur Rahman, Medical Officer & In-charge, Blood Programme, Red Crescent Blood Center, Dhaka; Md. Shah Rajiur Rahman, Program & Motivation Officer, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society; and the dedicated medical team who ensured a safe and smooth donation process.

The event was conducted under the guidance and supervision of our respected Club Mentor, Mr. Hamidul Islam Hamid, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing, FBA, & Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB, along with Mr. Rakib Aziz, Officer, Office of Student Affairs (OSA). The 10th Executive Committee Members and the Club's "Blood Support Service Team" worked hand in hand with the dedicated club volunteers to ensure the successful ex*****on of this meaningful initiative.

Every donation represented far more than blood—it represented hope, compassion, and the promise of another tomorrow.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to every donor who came forward, as well as to our respected university authorities, the Office of Student Affairs, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, mentors, volunteers, members, and everyone whose generous and collective effort made this program a remarkable success.

"Club Members' Development Workshop – Summer 2025–2026" 🔧🌟🎯

AIUB Social Welfare Club – Shomoy successfully organized its Club Members' Development Workshop on 12 August 2026 (Wednesday) at the Media Studio, Annex 2, AIUB Campus.

The workshop aimed to develop members’ operational, communication, team-building, and leadership skills, enabling them to make stronger technical and professional contributions to club activities and beyond.

The session was conducted by Club Mentor, Mr. Hamidul Islam Hamid, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing, FBA, and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB. Club President, Mr. Minhajul Abaydin Amir, General Secretary, Mr. Asif Amin Jihad, and members of the Club Executive Committee were also present and actively supported the session, making it informative, interactive, and engaging.

A group of around 50 existing and newly recruited club members participated enthusiastically, demonstrating a strong learning mindset and high spirit throughout the session.

The workshop concluded with the distribution of attractive gift packs among the winners of the Quiz Competition, generously offered by Ifad Multiproducts Limited, a concern of Ifad Group, Bangladesh.

Orientation Program | Summer 2025–2026

Every new journey begins with new faces, shared dreams, and a commitment to making a positive difference.

We were delighted to officially welcome our Summer 2025–2026 recruits to the AIUB Social Welfare Club - Shomoy family through a memorable Orientation Program.

We were honored by the presence of Dr. Ziarat Hossain Khan, Associate Professor, Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Deputy Director, Student Service and Welfare (SSW), Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB; our respected Club Mentor, Mr. Hamidul Islam Hamid, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing, FBA, and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB; and Mr. Rakib Aziz, Officer, Student Service and Welfare (SSW), Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB. Their inspiring words and valuable guidance encouraged our newly recruited members as they begin their SHOMOY journey.

The event was further enriched by the presence of our respected alumni, Executive Committee members, current members, and volunteers, whose continued support and dedication reflect the true spirit of AIUB Social Welfare Club-SHOMOY
