Congratulations to Tahmida Maliha on being entrusted with the role of President of Ruqayyah Bitarka Angan, Ruqayyah Hall, University of Dhaka.

As the Founding President of the Accounting Debating Club, she now takes on an even greater responsibility—leading and representing a vibrant community of over 3,000 female students, fostering intellectual growth, and serving as their voice in the university debating circuit. This role offers her the opportunity to engage with female students from both rural and urban backgrounds, empowering them through debate and intellectual discourse within one of Bangladesh's most traditional academic institutions.

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় শুধু একটি শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান নয়, এটি আমাদের ইতিহাস, ঐতিহ্য, সংগ্রাম ও স্বপ্নের এক অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ। জ্ঞানচর্চা, মুক্তচিন্তা এবং নেতৃত্বের মাধ্যমে প্রজন্মের পর প্রজন্মকে আলোকিত করে আসছে এই বিদ্যাপীঠ।

দেশের প্রতিটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অধ্যায়ে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অবদান অনস্বীকার্য। ভাষা, সংস্কৃতি, বিজ্ঞান, সাহিত্য, বাণিজ্য, অর্থনীতি, প্রশাসন থেকে শুরু করে রাষ্ট্র পরিচালনার বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে এ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থী ও শিক্ষকেরা রেখে চলেছেন অনন্য স্বাক্ষর। সময়ের পরিবর্তনের সঙ্গে তাল মিলিয়ে নতুন চিন্তা, গবেষণা ও উদ্ভাবনের মাধ্যমে এই বিদ্যাপীঠ আজও জাতির অগ্রযাত্রায় গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে চলেছে।

আজ ১০৫তম প্রতিষ্ঠাবার্ষিকীতে 'একাউন্টিং ডিবেটিং ক্লাব - এসিডিসি' শ্রদ্ধার সঙ্গে স্মরণ করছে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের গৌরবময় ইতিহাস, ত্যাগ, অর্জন এবং জাতি গঠনে এর অনন্য অবদানকে। জ্ঞান, সততা, নেতৃত্ব ও মানবিক মূল্যবোধের আলোয় চিরকাল আলোকিত থাকুক প্রাণের এই বিদ্যাপীঠ।

Just one year back, Accounting Debating Club (ACDC) began its journey with a view to inspiring critical thinking, meaningful discussions, and intellectual excellence. What started as an idea has grown into a vibrant community of passionate debaters, dedicated learners, and future leaders.

Over the past year, ACDC has evolved into a platform where ideas are challenged, confidence is nurtured, and leadership is developed. Every sessions of debate, tournaments, competition, and discussion has reflected our commitment to knowledge, logic, and excellence.

This remarkable journey would not have been possible except the unwavering support of every ACDC members, honorable faculties, advisors, alumni, and well-wishers. Your encouragement, dedication, and belief in our vision have been the driving force behind our success.

From 23rd June 2025 to 23rd June 2026, we celebrate an incredible year of achievements, memories, connections, and to many more years of growth, success, and excellence. We're committed to reaching new heights, seizing new opportunities, and continuing to pursue excellence.

ACDC proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to Imtiaz Zahan (from Accounting 24th Batch) and Bablu Nasir (from Accounting 25th Batch) on joining the Department of Accounting, University of Dhaka, as Lecturers on June 23, 2026.

As academia continues to evolve, we believe debate is becoming an integral part of the learning process rather than merely an extracurricular activity. We are confident that our young and dynamic faculty members will embrace and encourage a culture of critical thinking, and academic debate within the classrooms. The wait is almost over. Tomorrow, the Executive Member candidates of 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 - 𝐀𝐂𝐃𝐂 will step into a session of confidence, intellect, and expression.

Date: 14th May, Thursday.
Media: Google Meet.
Viva will take place in 𝟑 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬.

Necessary Instructions:

আজ মহান মে দিবস, আন্তর্জাতিক শ্রমিক দিবস। বিশ্বজুড়ে শ্রমজীবী মানুষের অধিকার, সম্মান ও ন্যায্যতার প্রতীক এক ঐতিহাসিক দিন।

একাউন্টিং ডিবেটিং ক্লাব বিশ্বাস করে, একটি টেকসই ও ন্যায়ভিত্তিক সমাজ গড়ে তুলতে শ্রমের মর্যাদা প্রতিষ্ঠা অপরিহার্য। যুক্তির চর্চার পাশাপাশি আমরা সচেতনতা ও মানবিক মূল্যবোধের বিকাশেও প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ। তাই আজকের এ দিনে আমাদের প্রতিজ্ঞা হোক আমরা প্রত্যেক শ্রমের প্রতি সম্মান দেখাবো, ন্যায্যতা ও সমতার পক্ষে কথা বলবো, এবং একটি ন্যায়সঙ্গত সমাজ গঠনে সক্রিয় ভূমিকা রাখবো।
