ডিক্যাব ও বাংলাদেশ-চীন আপন মিডিয়া ক্লাবের মধ্যে সমঝোতা স্মারক সই

ঢাকা, জুন ৭: চীন ও বাংলাদেশের গণমাধ্যমের মধ্যে সম্পর্ক, পেশাগত যোগাযোগ এবং তথ্য বিনিময় আরও জোরদার করতে একটি সমঝোতা স্মারক স্বাক্ষর করেছে বাংলাদেশের পররাষ্ট্রনীতি ও আন্তর্জাতিক সম্পর্ক বিটে কর্মরত সাংবাদিকদের সংগঠন ডিপ্লোম্যাটিক করেসপন্ডেন্টস অ্যাসোসিয়েশন, বাংলাদেশ (ডিক্যাব) এবং বাংলাদেশ-চীন আপন মিডিয়া ক্লাব। রোববার রাজধানী ঢাকায় অবস্থিত আপন ফ্রেন্ডশিপ এক্সচেঞ্জ সেন্টারের কার্যালয়ে এই চুক্তি স্বাক্ষরিত হয়।

অনুষ্ঠানে নিজ নিজ সংগঠনের পক্ষে সমঝোতা স্মারকে স্বাক্ষর করেন ডিক্যাব-এর সাধারণ সম্পাদক ইমরুল কায়েস এবং বাংলাদেশ-চায়না আপন মিডিয়া ক্লাবের সাধারণ সম্পাদক অলিভিয়া ছু।

ডিক্যাব-এর অতিথিদের স্বাগত জানিয়ে চায়না মিডিয়া গ্রুপের (সিএমজি) বাংলা বিভাগের পরিচালক ইউ কুয়াং ইউয়ে আনন্দী বলেন, ‘চীন ও বাংলাদেশের সুসম্পর্ক দীর্ঘদিনের। এর মধ্যে সরকারি পর্যায়ের কূটনৈতিক সম্পর্ক বিশেষ তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ। বাংলাদেশের পররাষ্ট্রনীতি ও আন্তর্জাতিক সম্পর্ক বিটে কর্মরত সাংবাদিকরা খুব কাছ থেকে চীন সম্পর্কে জানতে পারছেন। সাম্প্রতিক বছরগুলোতে ডিক্যাবের সদস্যরা চীন সরকারের আমন্ত্রণে চীন সফরও করেছেন। আজকের এই সমঝোতা স্মারক স্বাক্ষরের মাধ্যমে দুই দেশের গণমাধ্যম সহযোগিতায় এক নতুন দিগন্ত উন্মোচন হলো। আশা করি, এর মাধ্যমে আগামীতে আরও বেশি সাংবাদিক চীন সফর করার সুযোগ পাবেন, যা দুই দেশের মানুষকে পরস্পরকে আরও নিবিড়ভাবে জানতে এবং মৈত্রী দৃঢ় করতে সাহায্য করবে।’

চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর শেষে ডিক্যাব-এর সাধারণ সম্পাদক ইমরুল কায়েস তার বক্তব্যে বলেন, বাংলাদেশ-চীন দ্বিপক্ষীয় সম্পর্কের নানা দিক এবং আন্তর্জাতিক কূটনীতির বস্তুনিষ্ঠ তথ্য আদান-প্রদানে এই চুক্তি নতুন দিগন্ত উন্মোচন করবে। দুই দেশের সাংবাদিকদের পেশাগত মানোন্নয়ন ও অভিজ্ঞতা বিনিময়ে এটি একটি দারুণ সুযোগ।

এ ছাড়া অনুষ্ঠানে আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন, জাতীয় প্রেসক্লাবের সভাপতি হাসান হাফিজ, ঢাকা রিপোর্টার্স ইউনিটির (ডিআরইউ) সাধারণ সম্পাদক মাইনুল হাসান সোহেল এবং বাংলাদেশ ফটোজার্নালিস্ট অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতি এ কে এম মহসিন, বাংলাদেশি সিনে-জার্নালিস্ট অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের (বিসিজেএ) সভাপতি কামরুল হাসান দর্পণ, টেকনোলজি মিডিয়া গিল্ড বাংলাদেশের (টিএমজিবি) সভাপতি মোহাম্মদ কাওসার উদ্দিন, অনলাইন এডিটরস অ্যালায়েন্সের সভাপতি হাসান শরীফ, এবং বাংলাদেশ স্পোর্টস প্রেস অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের (বিএসপিএ) সাধারণ সম্পাদক সুদীপ্ত আহমেদ আনন্দ।

উল্লেখ্য, ২০২৪ সালের ডিসেম্বরে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে যাত্রা শুরু করে বাংলাদেশ-চীন আপন মিডিয়া ক্লাব। অন্যদিকে, বাংলাদেশের কূটনৈতিক সাংবাদিকদের শীর্ষ সংগঠন ডিক্যাব দীর্ঘ ২৬ বছরেরও বেশি সময় ধরে সুনাম ও পেশাদারিত্বের সঙ্গে কাজ করে আসছে।

DCAB congratulates Dr Khalilur Rahman on historic election as President of 81st UNGA

Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) has warmly congratulated Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman on his election as President of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

DCAB President AKM Moinuddin and General Secretary Emrul Kayesh, in a statement on Tuesday night, described the victory as a historic and landmark achievement for Bangladesh, reflecting the international community’s confidence in the country's constructive engagement in global affairs.

They noted that despite having only around three months to campaign, Bangladesh secured a remarkable victory against Cyprus, demonstrating the country's growing diplomatic influence and global acceptability.

Dr Khalilur Rahman was elected President of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, receiving 99 votes from the 193-member UN body, while the candidate of Cyprus secured 91 votes.

The DCAB leaders said this achievement has elevated Bangladesh’s global standing and brought immense pride to the nation.

They expressed hope that under Dr Khalilur Rahman’s leadership, the UN General Assembly will continue to advance the causes of multilateralism, international peace and security, sustainable development and global cooperation.

The DCAB leaders wished Dr Khalilur Rahman every success in discharging his responsibilities in one of the most distinguished positions within the United Nations system.
